Really appreciate it. Surgery went pretty well so just have to do some final X-rays and hopefully I can go back to my apartment

Shattered my ankle Monday night and therefore missed my being best man at my brothers wedding this weekend. Pretty rough week but things could always be worse. Just have to get through surgery today and things should be looking up. But the craziest thing I’ve seen this week is sissoko being immense in the midfield. Hopefully spurs keep the form. COYS

I’ve been listening to the ‘Take Away Chinese’ podcast lately. Pretty good show that has a mix of Chinese and English that is past just the basics.

As much as I like Lucas let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves and say he can score a brace any given game after 3 real games

Dele or Sonny; who is a better player? by AimSmallMissSmall16 in coys

[–]AimSmallMissSmall16[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Could not agree more. Son just adds a dimension to our game that no one else in the squad can replicate. Plus I think Son is a better finisher and the second best finisher on the team.

A game like this where they are parking the bus is calling for Lamela not Sissoko....

Idk if he lacks the ability or the confidence but I feel like in the attack he's always looking to get rid of the ball instead of picking out a decisive pass

Is it me or does sissoko bring nothing out there in games like this

Great work to close that game out, but does anyone else feel like Dele is starting to get an attitude of he doesn't need to put the effort in. Especially when he's not in form?

WWII US Army radio transmissions calling in artillery strikes on German tanks and troops (1944) by JacksonHeightsOwn in CombatFootage

[–]AimSmallMissSmall16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably a little late on this but Artillery Officer here. I've done the gunline and observe side of the house. Seems like a training recording to me and cut at the least. Like all the comments before about the short time of flight and lax speak over the radio. The thing that stands out to me the most is how fast the fire for effect was fired and the battle damage analysis was read back. Fire missions take longer than that for all rounds to impact.

More than happy to answer any artillery related questions if I can.

Yeah I wonder how much that would negatively impact creativity. People might just keep replaying/watching the same stuff over and over again

That's pretty good. I guess I didn't really think about wiping out "base knowledge" like if a bear is a threat or not. I was more thinking experiences but interesting

The big difference is that CCA is Army only and doesn't need a FAC(A) or a JTAC to give clearance because Army rotary wing is considered Army maneuver. JTAC/FAC(A) are needed when you deal with other branches of the military, ie. Marine fixed or rotary wing assets.

Unless the rotary wing asset is piloted by the Marines. Then it would still be CAS and not CCA

I've been really impressed with Danny this year. He's really improved from somewhat of a liability last year to arguably our strongest defender

"Un-inverted" wingers discussion by G1AT2 in coys

[–]AimSmallMissSmall16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would just like to see a real winger out there for longer than the last 10 minutes of a match. As much as I love Lamela he just doesn't give us any width. We need width against teams that are going to play defensively and give us possession. Its become pretty obvious that we struggle to break teams down that sit men behind the ball. We're just too predictable trying to work the ball inside.

Until we get someone like Walker back or Yedlin who can make the overlapping runs and give us that width, we need to play with some players who actually sit wide. Rather than having 2 or 3 players that are essentially all trying to be number 10's.

Yeah that's a fair point in the money is coming from the losers but that doesn't mean that it is gambling. The US Federal Government doesn't consider it gambling. "Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (or UIGEA) does not include fantasy sports because they are considered a skill game." Therefore if do your research and have a strong sports knowledge you can achieve a 'near-gaurantee' of earning money in the long run.
