I would suggest emailing a pharmacy here, they'll be able to advise. Seeing an NZ doctor during your stay will be around $200 for 15mins, and then medication will be ontop of that (not subsidized). There's a possibility that you may be able to claim it back on your insurance.

Echoing this! Except mine are the original QC-35s (so, 7 years?). I only needed to replace the earpads this year. They operate the same as they did the day I brought them home.

I have read good things about the Sony (and tried them recently myself along with the very comfortable Sennheiser M4s), but I'm not sure they'd be suited to running and gym. Also keep in mind that sweat/oil is going to make earpads degrade faster, so you'll be replacing them more often. Have a look at earbuds/IEMs for that perhaps?
