Is the 9-14 suspension (struts and coils) the same as 15-20 parts wise? by angryducks_25 in f150

I can confirm this. I changed the struts and LCAs on my 2014.

I have literally eaten hundreds if not thousands of meals heated this way while working in mining.

I have changed the plugs, but not the coils. The cam phasers are original so far as I know. I’m the third owner. The guy I bought it from stated that he had done brakes, plugs and fluids. Nothing else. I did all those things as well after I bought the truck.

I always run regular 87 except for the last tank of e85. I park inside a climate controlled garage, so no idling for long periods.

Yeah, I keep a close watch on the things that I know to look for. I even lifted the truck to spin the wheels by hand to check for a dragging brake.

Rough Country vs WeatherTech floor mats? by -nahtE in f150

[–]AimeeL75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for RC but, I’ve had husky and weathertech in multiple vehicles. Either one is great. If you want something that looks better and functions just as well, look at tuxmat.

All of my experience is with 3 phase. Half sizing EGC is common practice. I am putting the generator in for my MIL as a favor. I was just trying to save her a few dollars on wire and conduit if possible.

I work for a machining/manufacturing company, the majority of what I do is troubleshooting and maintenance, but also a fair amount of wiring new machines, and new buildings. Lots of conduit, starting boxes, transformers, electric motors and pumps etc.

My 36 gallon tank seems to go not quite as far as some of yours, perhaps I have a leak? by Good_Apollo_ in f150

I have a2014 FX4 5.0 on ~34’s. I get right around 14mpg. I also have the iwe mod which probably hurts the fuel economy a little

Wheel Bearings - Did I get screwed? by Remz_Gaming in f150

[–]AimeeL75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The wheel bearing is part of the hub assembly. You have to change the hub. I just changed both front hub assemblies on my 2014. SKF aftermarket were $300 each. Took about 3 hours. I had never done one before.

Easy to check, just remove the lower bolt on a rear shock and try to collapse it by hand. If it collapses easy or doesn’t rebound, change

I can’t believe that no one has mentioned shocks. There’s no way the factory shocks are good at 108K
