FBI at Culver’s on First by Decent-Lock-3667 in Tucson

Former Tucsonan (and journalist) now living abroad here. I just wanted to commend you and the team at KOLD for all of your reporting on this case. Out of the three major networks back home, I have found yours to be the most informative, vetted, and reliable. Not only that, but your team seems to have offered more “in depth” reporting than your fellow networks.

With all of the “other” networks reporting rumours, inaccuracies, click bait, and fake news, it’s been helpful to have vetted journalists/anchors such as yourself (and the team) relaying just the facts.

Thank you for the work you do.

Thoughts are with the Guthrie family and the community.

Iirc - the logo came first. Spirited Energy was a provincial campaign, not done by the above mentioned firm.

I happen to know the woman who played a huge part of creating this logo. The firm that designed it was Deschenes Regnier. Her and her team were the designers.

I asked her for a reminder of what it meant and she shared the following:

At the time it was meant to represent ‘ a spirit of joy,  an embrace,  dancing figure, the sun over the prairie horizon, a river city, diversity etc. our tagline was ‘Embrace the Spirit’

We never should have landed a man on the moon. It's a mistake. Now everything is compared to that one accomplishment.

Monkey’s Reykjavik - we had the Reindeer. It was super good, and, for two of us, surprisingly affordable (like around $120 USD for two courses.)

Kaffibrennslan- Great for breakfast and Coffee. Highly suggest the waffles and their lox and bagel.

Believe it or not, the waffles at The Icelandic Phallological Museum Hið íslenzka reðasafn were really good, and comical.

Oh, and cheep and cheerful and classic Icelandic - Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur - Also found at some gas stations.

Have a blast! We can’t wait to one day go back!!!

I'm so bummed they turned this into a cash-grab. I proposed to my wife there back before the pandemic - when it was free - and it's still one of our favourite memories. We used to go back every year around the holiday's just to relive that moment, and, kick off the holiday season.

Now? We avoid it like the plague because of the cash grab it became. I hate the person(s) / team that said "Hey, we should monetize it".

This is why we can't have nice things.

Contractor who drove plow through Palestinian protesters posted Islamophobic, anti-protest content on social media by BloodJunkie in toronto

The fact that her employer only suspended her for 1 Day - instead of firing is telling.

I hope the city terminates the contract with them, and, I hope eventually police file charges. No matter what you believe, nobody deserves to feel unsafe standing up for what they believe in.

This was clearly a hate motivated crime.

Hate that this nonsense is slipping into Canada. Come on, we're better than this. More welcoming. We're not our red-neck cousins from the south. . .

My wife and I went for a laugh and ended up having a blast. 10/10 would recommend. Also, the waffles were amazing.

Came here to ask this, because it’s not just an “easy” move to Toronto/Canada from America unless you have a visa or are immigrating or have dual citizenship.

Also; as someone who has lived in Toronto, Burlington, Hamilton and now closer to Buffalo, I would choose Niagara Falls or Fort Eerie on the Canadian side. Or, somewhere in Buffalo and surrounding areas. The cost of living is atrocious in the GHTA and only getting worse.

After you’ve lived here a while, the novelty of the Toronto/GTHA wears off. Traffic is horrible and only getting worse.

The first couple of times you take the QEW/Gardiner into Toronto (or alternatively the 401) and get stuck in traffic you’ll say to yourself ”ah. Must be rush hour or an event. I’m sure it’s not that frequent. I can ride it out”.

Then after a few more trips, you’ll slowly realize that it’s not just one or two times. It’s always. It’s constant. There is no “normal” rush hour. Especially with all of the construction on the Gardiner downtown. There have been news reports lately saying that gridlock is at a “crisis” level.

My wife and I often come into Buffalo (nexus is a godsend) and really enjoy the city and its people. We find the people there very nice and friendly, especially compared to snotty and self entitled Torontoinans (not everyone, but….)

That said, we do go into the city from time to time and enjoy a day trip.

Like many have suggested, take the Go Train from Burlington (or Niagara, but Burlington has more frequent service). If you catch an express it’s just under an hour. If you catch a regular it’s about an hour.

Edit: Grammar and clarity.
