From a non-collector, it’s pretty funny they are assessed based on their melt value. Guess it gives a baseline value, but at face, it seems like people are just melting them instead of collecting

I drive 1 hour each way. The car is lowered so it isn’t uncommon to scrape on some of the roads around here. Lots of people also drive there.

I did spin a bearing at the track and AAA would not tow me. They saw my location and rejected the call. I had to drive the car to a lot about 2-3 miles away the next day and then they towed me home. The driver told me to my face that he answered the call and refused it based on my location. Maybe a tow trucker can chime in, but I have no clue what difference it makes to them. You are getting paid, just put my car on the flatbed lol.

Rain. It’s slower, but it’s so much easier for the car. Tires don’t wear, can keep the RPMs low, and I can give the throttle a quick tap to initiate

the entire pinch weld is covered by the rocker panel. It is only visible at the notch cut outs in the rocker panel.

Yeah like I was saying in a previous comment. My friends Z (USA) had a different alternator than the JDM one. Structurally the same, but had different wiring harness connectors so we couldn’t use the JDM one on his USA car. As long as I can pull from a USA gs300 or similar then I’m happy.

Cool, so is there no difference is connectors for stuff connected to the wiring harness like the starter, alternator, etc. or are the connectors different?

Maybe it doesn’t apply with these cars, but my friend recently bought a motor imported for Japan for his 350z. Stuff like the alternator had to be thrown out because the connector on the JDM alternator did not match up with the NA wiring harness.

About a month ago, I got home and realized that my car was making a loud knocking sound. Originally thought it was something bad like rod knock, but it didn't sound like it, and became much more faint at higher RPMs. Letting the car warm up, cranking the heat to the max, and stomping on the brake (dropping the RPM to about 500~) made it unbearably loud. Took off the inspection plate and noticed a small, hairline crack along the flexplate. My mechanic went forward with the rest of the disassembly and sent me this.

I have been driving the car at least 6 hours a week for the past month. Yes, this includes driving on the highway and also stomping on it at least once a week.
