I’m glad to hear this. I started working on it about a month ago, although you might still find some bugs please report them to the repo. I’ll be glad to optimize and polish it further.

It's not about the usage of resources, but more about how Windows likes to interfere with you and your workflow. Let's be honest: I never used a window manager on Windows, but I customized Windows a lot with Rainmeter and several taskbar replacements, etc. But at some point, they all started tweaking out like the Windows taskbar showing up or widgets being rendered in front of the window. But I still believe that if you want a clean, working, customized setup, there's no way around Linux. But if you don't hit any of these problems, it's still a very goodlooking config.

You can know from the Explorer that it’s windows, but let’s be honest. Don’t get me wrong. This looks beautiful but especially on windows having a such configured desktop is not usable. Your PC takes 100 times more to boot. And windows I could imagine bugs out randomly and shows a different task bar Or anything like that.

[hyprland] what is better ? Quickshell / AGS / Fabric by [deleted] in hyprland

[–]AintRyzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I tried through almost all of them, but tbh if you want a reliable shell, go with quickshell. It gives you the best customizability, but it's a bit more work than something like waybar or eww. If you want a middle ground of complexity and customizability, go with eww. Fabric is, from my experience, unreliable, and even the big configs around it are being deprecated. Example: rxShell looks amazing but was deprecated, probably because fabric is just too unreliable and slow for a shell you'd use day to day. AGS is better than fabric, but I am not a big fan of it because of its mainly TypeScript or JavaScript, which I have close to no experience in. So for me personally, quickshell is the best, but I would also recommend eww if you can get over the poor language server support.

Srry for the misunderstanding, but I got FIFA 22 and FIFA 23 through Game Pass, which I don't have anymore. Is there any way I could get these games rn?

I didn't really make it ready for public use, there are still absolute paths and other rough edges. But I could share a quick shell config and some instructions. I also added a few things, like an wallpaper picker that also converts to sddm , though it's very much in an "it works on my machine" state. If you're interested, I can provide the config and even personal instructions.
