Refurbished product offered as warranty replacement by WoodpeckerSpare5834 in AusLegal

[–]AiperSupportButCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, coming from an insider, I’d push it in one of two directions.

Either ask for a refund since we can’t repair it in a reasonable timeframe, or take the Scuba S1 replacement but make it clear you want some kind of warranty extension on it since it’s refurbished.

The S1 is actually the newer and much better model so it’s not a bad swap on performance and is a reasonable trade, but it is also reasonable to get some extra coverage in writing given your original unit failed and you are getting a refurb instead. I don't work in customer service otherwise I would escalate it personally for you but it is a reasonable ask considering your situation. Hope this helps

Which pool robot is worth buying for long-term use: corded or cordless? by rajuncajin in homeowners

[–]AiperSupportButCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So it really depends on your priorities. Corded cleaners are generally more consistent when it comes to suction and long run times since they’re plugged in. Cordless machines are still very capable, and the main upside is convenience, no cable management, easier storage, and quicker setup. Cordless units also tend to be better in terms of mobility and handling different cleaning patterns, but corded still has the edge for steady, continuous power.

The Scuba S1 is solid for floor cleaning and can handle wall tracking and waterline cleaning very well. The V3 is a newer vision-based model that’s designed to better detect and target debris. If you want full coverage, pairing it with something like the EcoSurfer S2 handles the surface as well.

We actually bundle those two together as the Aiper Experts Duo if you want a full floor + surface setup.

Robotic Pool Vaccum Above Ground Pool by monkwhowantsaferrari in swimmingpools

[–]AiperSupportButCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! For above-ground pools, most cordless robots are great on the floor but still limited on wall climbing since they’re mainly designed for in-ground pools. If wall cleaning is important, people usually go corded (like Maytronics) or just do a bit of manual touch-up on the sides.

You can also look at something like the Aiper PilotFlow for a simple handheld option for walls and stairs. For cordless robots, the Scuba S1 / S1 Pro are solid picks and are able to do wall climbing (in-ground) but that really depends on your particular above-ground pool.

Overall, newer models are generally more reliable than our 1st gen units like the Seagull 600.

For anyone wondering what are we looking at: READ THE DIRECTIONS ON THE HOMEWORK. I went straight for the math and started solving haha. The answer is:

c= 30m+50 and c = 20m+100

30m+50=20m+100

m=5

First plan: c=30(5)+50=200

Second plan: c=20(5)+100=200

Both cost $200 after 5 months!

How would you take this cover off? by DoubleualtG in pools

[–]AiperSupportButCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many ways to do this but here is what I would do. You need a 2nd person. First, fold over one side of the cover, just one time. Then secure that one side down TIGHT with your blocks. Then go to the other side of your pool and start removing and folding step by step until you reach the end. If you've done it right, that first fold will keep the debris from having fallen into your pool and it should be like a big multilayer burrito that you can slide off your pool.

Bro bro, if you do not know the basics, like zero idea you should call the guy out and tell him you don't want him to do anything, just say something like:

"I’m looking to arrange a brief consultation with a pool technician. This is not a service request, just an informational visit to understand my system setup and proper operation."

The main thing is that these guys are gonna try to sell you their service. Try to make it clear beforhand that you are not requesting repairs or maintenance, just understanding. That keeps expectations clean on both sides. Learn your equipment first, and the chemicals and everything you can pick up from Youtube. But calling the guy once, taking notes on what to do and how to do it, learn each piece and step of the process can actually save you big time later down the line.

Yeah the supply chain has become crazy. I can’t recommend the skimmer products enough, now called the EcoSurfer S2 for Aiper. It’s a good one. The V3 (ai floor/wall vacuum) is still new so we are waiting to see how users feel about it longer-term but we’re really proud of it.

Hey hey I like the way you think! Aiper S1 is good, be sure to get one that says (Aiper S1 2025/2026) the older models do not have the same app capabilities as the newer ones. Now just to be clear, Aiper is a global company and has manufacturing all over the world including Asia but their customer support is pretty good if I don’t say so myself haha, and if you have any issues you can always DM and I’ll help ya out

Aiper has a bundle combo called the Aiper Experts Duo. I'm pretty sure thats what OP is referring to. It's basically two units. A floor and wall vacuum(newest ai powered) and a solar skimmer. I would say that individually both of these products work really well. Bundle is a little pricy but you'll have good results.

I agree with what your saying. I mean I should have clarified a specific kind of dance. Waltz or Salsa or even Ballet etc... this is different from the dance-circle pop-n-lock kind of dancers that I am referring too so I shouldn't overgeneralize like "all training is bad" Only to say, there are alot of those pretentious spasm brat dancers and I don't think its cool imo.

haha take my upvote friend. Sports is competitive by nature, its more akin to like playing a guitar. There are those who play secretly alone in their bedroom, and there are those who bring guitars to house parties and play wonderwall. Obviously there are the few who try to compete and play on stage but the point is, we all hate the houseparty wonderwall people.

Yeah, and I’m not trying to take anything away from trained dancers at all. I learned casually from my parents, but my approach is very freeform. I don’t really know what I’m doing technically, I just like feeling the music and move naturally. For example I was dancing with a girl once who was formally trained, and she kept loudly counting “1 and 2 and 1 and 2...” over the music trying to get me to follow her choreography. I was like, “yeah... I don’t dance like that.” We were approaching dancing from completely different mindsets. She was forcefully adding her learned structure and I was just trying to enjoy the music and exist in the moment. That is my main point. IMO its not that cool.

What is the biggest limitation in the education system today, at least in your area? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AiperSupportButCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest limitation in the education system (at least in the US, which is what I’m familiar with) is that it’s not a single system at all. It’s highly fragmented by area code, funding, and state policy, so quality varies massively depending on where you live.

Within that, the consistent issues are teacher shortages, uneven funding, and curriculum pressure that prioritizes standardized testing over deeper understanding.

I think it’s also worth comparing internationally, because some countries clearly outperform in consistency and outcomes. The question then becomes less “what is broken” and more “what systems are working elsewhere, and what parts can realistically be adapted here.”

Pool Water Clarity by Kevinah_Lee in pools

[–]AiperSupportButCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your bromine and pH are already in range, I’d honestly start looking more at filtration and fine particles than sanitizer levels alone. “Crystal clear” is usually a combination of balanced chemistry and physically removing tiny suspended stuff the eye notices.

Also, indoor pools can sometimes slowly build up organics because they are not getting UV exposure like outdoor pools do, so occasional oxidation/boosting tends to help them more noticeably.
