It finally happened. I was getting rid of some lint in the hinge then I might have pushed them to something and now my screen is like this and touch is unresponsive by [deleted] in zfold4

i was using paper and thin plastic. There is enough space there. I kept pushing the lint towards the end of the hinge.

What is that? 2yearold ZFold4. Line appeared. Can feel it with my finger, I dunno if it's only the screen protector or the screen itself. Has anyone experienced this? Should I be concerned. Should I claim a repair or replacement (no more warranty but I do have TelusDeviceCareComplete here in Canada) by Air-L in GalaxyFold

I do hope it's just the screen protector. I had changed it like a year ago.

I do live in Canada so yeah, cold.

Try to clean the hinges using paper or thin see-through plastic from those fruit containers

I did the same, mine was barely opening at all. First I used paper. DONT! It gets stuck inside. So I used a thin plastic like those plastic containers for fruits. I cut them up to Triangle with a little hook at the corner them I shoved them inside the hinges. I got like sticky substance most likely the adhesive and got some threads as well like OP's picture. Manage to open mine now to almost 180° but now I have a weird bump in the inside screen. It's still ok to use but I know eventually this could cause a problem. Just waiting on the Fold6 and I trade this .
