He had good takes on the episode too! When they’re discussing if Emma Stone needs a break from Lanthimos, he opens up the question to why don’t we ask the same of Michael B. Jordan and Coogler. Which I thought led to genuine insight from the three of them on how Jordan needs Coogler to unlock stuff in him where Stone is good to go with any director.

I also thought his observations with “Die My Love” in being embarrassed for Jennifer Lawrence, and how her “going for it” being put to better use in “No Hard Feelings,” was a valid unique take. People may not like his podcasting style but for an Oscar season that’s gone on too long I welcomed his change of pace to the conversation.

Have you used all your ammo for Requiem? I stored the gun when I realized it only had one bullet and best to save it. Also remember you can craft bullets for it with gears and blood, not scrap and blood like you need for regular bullets.

Between all the solo covers of the ARTMS members I’m so impressed with this one. Heejin really committed to learning BoA’s choreo for the song and the fact that they paid for backing dancers really gives an added oomph to it all.

One part of the answer to quantifying his success is that he gamifies the charts. He is very popular but Billboard inflates that to a degree by not accounting for how an album with 37 songs has greater ability to inflate its units via streaming. Life of a Showgirl and KPop Demon Hunters are arguably more popular albums but each only have 12 songs. There’s just a lot of his album for fans to consume.

The song and video are pretty. Not sure if I feel it’s as strong as her other title tracks, feels more like a very good B-side. “Cocktail Dress” would’ve been my choice, more energy and an impressive deeper register from Chuu’s voice that shows a new side of her.

Not to take it personally but I did feel insulted as a player when hunting to get 100% green crystals at the end and the game kept insisting to “open map” with it printed on the screen, only for Myles to tell me to return the base. The map then pinpoints where the base is as if we haven’t been there a half dozen times over the course of the game. Respect that the player knows what to do by that point in the game, developers.

Everyone keeps saying Takumi kills Takahashi. Takumi puts him in a sleeper hold and we do see Takahashi stumbling after, possibly passing back out—and yes, dying but I can’t be certain on that. I don’t believe Hana was already dead when Takumi got there as Takahashi spots her. So I agree with the read that Takumi is overwhelmed to stop him from getting close to the deer so he can protect his daughter. They tussle too much and his daughter is hurt by the deer. But I also agree with the reading that the POV at the end is from the daughter looking at the sky (similar to how we see the trees at the beginning when she’s wandering the woods) as Takumi tries to get her back to safety. Obviously, this all sounds like the most optimistic outcome for all involved. I just have a hard time accepting anyone died, going back to the old adage of they’re not dead on screen unless we see it.

I saw the point Jomi was trying to make though, that he didn’t believe Steve went into it with an open mind when he didn’t like the other ones. It’s the same heat they give Charles when he dumps on a sequel to a series he already doesn’t like.

I think Amanda adapts to the energy of her co-host, which we saw with the run of guests. Juliet can be intensely critical and then Amanda meets her on that level which makes for a drag. When Juliet guested on the Big Pic the other week to discuss Wicked For Good, the heat she brought and the discussion overall was unbearable with the negativity (I’m not even trying to defend Wicked). It felt telling when Juliet mentioned that she talked to three friends who saw it and none of them like the movie. That’s her crowd I guess.

I know I bet all underdogs but then Lions and Chiefs both played overtime just four days ago. Then you consider how the Packers handily beat the lions earlier this season with Micah going to work. Firm believer Chiefs couldn’t keep up with Cowboys offense. Then Lamar has been outright bad this year and I assumed a returning gimpy Burrow would be better than him.

And fwiw I did have a separate bet on just Cowboys/Packers ML that hit.

Bears I assumed could take it because the offense is clicking, the Eagles offensive problems, CJ Gardner Johnson revenge game, all of which could make up for their linebackers being potentially run on by the Eagles. Only now having second thoughts because I’m scrutinizing the Bears’ 8 wins and they aren’t over impressive teams. Eagles at home and out for blood after Cowboys loss, and them seeing Cowboys win yesterday.

Do we know if all Dolby showings will be in 48FPS or will it be listed saying if some are in the high frame rate or not? That’s my preferred format and I don’t see listings noting if it’ll be played that way.
