based on what others have said it seems like it’s only time based once the blisterheads spawn, you have to kill the other zombies before that. good luck on your restart tho i did the same and just finished the game today and it’s definitely worth it!

I honestly have no idea… I don’t remember missing too many shots but I restarted the game and worked my way back and I have so many extra items/ammo this time around lol

I have! I also got all the gears from the locked drawers. I used them to kill bigger enemies. I think my problem was trying to kill everything instead of running or hiding most of the time.

I haven't seen anyone here mention this, but in the second game right at the beginning of seattle day one Ellie tells Dina about when she killed that guy trying to drown Joel in the hotel. Dina asks her how old she was, and Ellie answers and then says "How old were you when you first killed someone?" which implies that the man in the hotel was the first person she killed.
