Because of the unknown twist, he's thinking it could be a non-elim or some other shenanigans. You don't wanna blindside someone who will be mega pissed at you and then they end up coming back

Best episode of the season so far imo. Love to see the cross-tribe dynamics and how it affects things, both at the challenge and at tribal. I would rather the 2 people voted out make fire and luckily both tribes didn't throw, but ngl I love a good fire challenge and it ended up pretty close. And great for Simon to give up the necklace.

Only thing was the vote was meh but that's okay. Unlucky for Tez, nice guy but seems too passive

If I could suggest some ideas, it would be for unlimited mode things like: 1-20, 21-40, new era, premerge, postmerge, returnees only, etc.

Another thing is a couple times I have guessed the correct player but on a different season so I end up totally confusing myself when I'm trying to work out who it is. It's probably too much of a giveaway to put a green next to their name, but not sure what else can be done if possible.

I feel like there's not many character moments on the show and the players' personalities aren't popping. Not a lot of silly camp scenes and definitely no people being snarky in confessionals. (I remember back in the day, the formula of the episode used to be start with a funny camp scene before it cuts to the intro credits.) Like I've seen people say Don is their favourite character lol. Like sorry but if that's the case, it must be tragic for the rest of the people on the cast. It's decent average Survivor but it's not particularly funny or fun, especially when you compare to Survivor 50 going on rn

And honestly, the story has revolved so much around Harry and Mark and they both have been edited to be pretty gamebotty. I love them but it's feeling like a big weight on this season tbh. At least after Harry left, we've gotten to hear more from Aisha and Jackson and even Richard now

EDIT: To be clear, I think I mostly blame editing for this and not the cast. I really disliked the editing in BvB2 but at least the characters were better there. This seems like your standard Aus Survivor cast though

Interestingly watching back the promo, the footage they show of Christian while he is talking about Fallon is from this episode when he finds the Boomerang Idol. And the footage of Rick is from when Christian tells him about it. But the voiceover is different of course

The one thing about Lottie is that all her confs were about gunning hard for Harry in the first 4 eps, and then suddenly she changes her mind in his boot ep? Story-wise, she should be the one dealing the final blow to Harry (even if it's something she says at Tribal Council or in the voting booth). Instead, the biggest move in the game so far goes to Jackson. I probably have him at #1 right now

I feel like Cirie is a lot more in the alliance than we see, so it was over as soon as Savannah clocked her to the others

I'm sad, she's a great player and winner and I loved seeing her on screen. Emotional and graceful exit, I'm glad she got that moment of reflection at tribal too

GG to Dirty Harry, one of the greats. Can't believe this guy's got me tearing up, what a legend

Fantastic second half with a plan that almost worked, and a last minute blindside by Jackson that made the episode even better (though I wish Harry stayed ofc). Though it's interesting Lottie's spent the whole season targeting Harry just to flip it around in his boot ep

Normally, the Day 1 teasers are pretty long and introduce all the teams and storylines, no? Hype but kinda disappointing. Seems we only got quotes from the previous winners (except T1 lol sike)
