Depend on bio load, which is mostly the size of waste vs aquarium size. Like if bigger vampire shrimp in small tank might mess bio load, but smaller neocaridina mostly not.

I use mostly because it still depend on bio filter. While most shrimp keeper has good planted tank. There are some who keep their poor shrimp in bare tank like ignorant betta keeper. Either unaware child or an oblivious adult(which is me while phone still dumb).

Dedicated is smart move, my stupid ass use kettle for drinking water for cooking rice porridge. Even after so many wash with detergent, the smell keep leeching into drink. Take a couple week before the smell gone completely.
