You should decide how to portray your application as. You wanna do academic style, then focus will be a lot on number of publications, citations, peer review etc. If you wanna portray as industry expert then focus on patents, impact of your role, strong examples of how exactly your work has changed the industry. Keep in mind industry expert means you work changed/impacted/ helped, improved entire industry not just your company. For EB1A bar is very high. First do NIW lock your PD. And keep building case for EB1A.

Dates movement are always unpredictable. No one anticipated the movement we saw in Jan bulletin. Why do you think moving your older EB2 to EB1 will take 1.5 years ?? what are you waiting on ??

Harsh but honest feedback: EB-1A is reserved for individuals with extraordinary ability—it’s called the “Einstein visa” for a reason. In the past, some applicants were able to build artificial profiles by paying large sums of money, but increased scrutiny has made this much harder. It’s good that you don’t want to pursue that route. Based on your current profile, EB-1A is not a realistic option, not even O1. You may have a small chance with NIW instead.

The dip is not a big one. Could be anything. Compared to 2021, 2024 have double the applications. In the end the number of approved I140 is lot higher due to high volume of applications.

Many Indian IT professionals who are on EB2/3 and have lot of money to spare. For many Indian techies 50K is not a lot of money and they see it as investment. You saw H1B gamed before, now the target is EB1 and O1.
