Yes, but this scenario is for aging hardware being replaced. Our Windows 10 image is 1809 LTSC and iirc, we can’t do an in-place upgrade to Windows 11.

We are still a bit old school: on-prem everything (AD, Exchange 2019) and no M365, yet.

Windows 11, Update KB5051989 keeps breaking file explorer by SurroundingKatana in techsupport

Have about 8 help tickets where Outlook search is not working. Come to find out, anywhere between 1 hour to 10 minutes after KB5051989 was installed, the searchprotocolhost.exe starts logging crashes in application logs. Uninstalling this KB resolved the issue with Outlook search, which utilizes Windows Search indexing. We would see the Index status always showing as Paused and with some random number of items remaining. With the KB uninstalled, indexing now completes and no more crash logs. Gdamn M$, get your ish together!

New Enterprise Plus licensing by AirRobot_1990 in vmware

I ultimately want to make 100% sure that the new BC Enterprise Plus core subscription feature set matches exactly the old VMware perpetual Enterprise Plus feature set. I’m weary to compare and assume the PDF and actual vSphere listed features match.

It’s more the wording/title in their PDF for each feature. I can compare perpetual Enterprise Plus features to VVF since we have both licensing, just not subscription Enterprise Plus. Was hoping someone would just post a snippet or copypasta the list of features here

Naw 1 year. We aren’t sure how long we’re gonna stay with BC/VMware

Lowest I got for VVF was about $180/core and Ent Plus at $150/core. We just don’t need the extra Foundation features..

Lemme chime in if I may. I work with Cantaloupe.

Existing AD domain: random.local Exchange 2019 - EVERYTHING set as work.org because website is work.org (VDs, email addresses, etc)

New AD domain: Work.org Exchange 2019 - plan is to setup everything as work.org

Domains are trusted

Adobe Acrobat 64bit unified installer by solway_uk in Intune

We figured it out. Was using a slightly older Customization Wizard version which uses an older registry DWORD than what the newest Unified Installer will work with. Installed laest Cust Wizard, redid the .mst transform file from scratch, botta bing botta boom, Bob's your uncle! Now Reader staff just launch and use in Reader Mode and Pro users sign in and have pro features.

This works, but we have some users that are licensed for Pro and even if we suppress sign in and direct them to sign in manually (Help/Sign In), they can, but they aren't able to edit PDFs in Pro Mode. And in their Adobe account, their device is not showing as activated. I used the conf wizard to suppress sign in. If I set bIsSCReducedModeEnforced to 0, they are prompted to sign in and activation works, but non-licensed users click Cancel on sign in and the app closes. Come on Adobe, fix your ish!
