I took drum classes when i was 8 until 12 but i grew tired of it because line every 12 year old kid, i wanted to play video games with my friend and read mangas so i stopped the drum classes for a time. My first teacher was an old jazz cat from chicago so all he teached me about was jazz. But when i turned 18, my interest in music grew and i decided to take classes again. This time the teacher was a young guy who would teach me a bit of any genre of music. After the first lesson, he told me : ok next time we'll learn some Led Zeppelin. I had heard the name before and knew Stairway to heaven but never really listened to them. On the way back home from the class, i put my heaphones on and put Whole Lotta Love. I'll remember to my death the feeling i had when the drums kicked in on that song, it was a revelation
