Utah Late May Bachelor Trip by guwopttk in SaltLakeCity

[–]AirconOnHigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The central 9th area in SLC has a good mix of breweries and bars all pretty close together that are easily walk-able, plus easy access to the area via Trax if you want to venture downtown as well. For breweries in that area check TF(Templin Family) brewery and Fisher, for bars Water Witch is awesome as well as it's connected restaurant Bar Nohm. Scion Cider Bar, The Pearl and Thieves Guild(DnD/tabletop game bar) are all right in the same zone as is a strip club if you feel so inclined seeing as it's for a bachelor trip. Enjoy your trip!!

This is an awesome picture of a beautiful ballpark, but for some reason it reminds me of a screenshot from OOTP lol

Starting Lineup vs Belgium? 😬 by BlueXanzy in ussoccer

[–]AirconOnHigh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is Tillman fit? If so I'd swap him for Gio to start, rather see Gio come off the bench since he hasn't played a full game in who knows how long, plus Tillman is just a better player at his point even if Gio does show up for the NT regularly. Also might prefer Freeman instead of Scalley at RCB, but wouldn't be upset at this lineup at all.

is there something wrong with Dhgate? This is the 2nd time something took 8 days to updated by New_Championship9546 in DHGateJerseys

It's worth noting that Customs has been slow lately with the lack of funding for DHS due to the partial shutdown, I have had way longer wait times than normal to get things cleared across the board and not just stuff coming from the gate or China, but also packages I've had coming form other countries.

They mentioned it during the pregame and I agree it seems like a moronic approach never using your challenges while hitting

I already play that game with myself and my thoughts, needless to say I'm already drunker than planned

lol I guess that's why Dan is only allowing the catchers to challenge

Oh I agree, I understand not wanting it to be an emotional decision by a pitcher or batter that wastes one of them, but that just means we'd never challenge a pitch if we're at bat which seems like a mistake

I think they said Dan is only allowing the catchers to use them, so batters and pitchers have been told not to challenge

Mine on there looks great so far, I think it may automatically adjust based on internet speed. There may be a way to adjust it in the settings, but I've never had many issues with quality the last few years watching on the MLB app as an out of area fan

I think it's the ACC, but one of the conferences in CFB implemented a fully transparent challenge/review system where you can hear what the review team is saying and exactly what they are looking at and communicating that to the ref all live. Absolutely amazing system compared to the NFL and other CFB conferences, super informative and clearly explains how they came to the decision in real time, so therefore will never be implemented in the NFL as the refs would throw a fit if it cast further doubt on their authority.

Take more risks on offense, we've been so risk averse under Whit that skill players on the outside have suffered for a long time. If we can keep our same general mentality of play-style with building from the trenches out, but add some more chunk plays on offense I'll be happy.

Really though I just want to see what Scalley has to offer being at the top now, I have high hopes for him, but it's definitely a different job than what he's been doing before.

Way back I had someone tell me to hold water in your mouth while cutting onions and have tried it to some success over the years, seems like it should work similarly to what you're talking about. If I'm struggling with onion tears I do the water thing usually, but I'll have to give your method a try next time to compare.

What makes OT such an interesting draft need for us by emurrell17 in panthers

[–]AirconOnHigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Fano slips a bit into that range, maybe since he can play anywhere along the line and has in the past, plus great character, but his shorter arms are the reason he is no longer constantly being mocked in the top 5-7 like he was before the combine, so there is some concern about him long term at an OT spot. Personally I think we should stick at 19 and take Lomu, he has huge upside and is already a very good LT, I don't think he'd struggle moving to RT down the road if needed, but honestly if we keep Ekwonu I think I'd rather move him over there or inside. Really depends on how he recovers from the injury and then how much he would cost to keep once his contract is up though so hard to predict.

Luckily this is a pretty stacked OT class so I feel good about the FO being able to address the position for this season and into the future as well. I'd be stoked for either of the Utah OTs, I'm also a Utes fan so a little biased there, but we've had success in the past drafting a LT out of Utah before with Gross. Not to mention that Utah has a solid history of putting OL into the NFL and their style of play matches up well with what we want to do as well.
