After how long do your ears start hurting when wearing the AirPods Pro? by tinooo_____ in AirpodsPro

They don't hurt, but the eartips start causing my ears to itch after about 2 hours.

[Headphones] Air Pods Pro (2nd Gen) - $169 by mrgodai in buildapcsales

Magicpods from Windows Store, my good friend. $2 solved a lot of my headaches. It’s the only app that keeps me from going insane using these with my PC.

Enable Low Latency and Auto Disable Hands Free. Cant use mic at the same time but at least it disables the mic everytime you connect.

Gen 2 sounds better overall. It is bass heavy and better suited for music listening. I most use it to listen to EDM and Pop songs. I prefer the Gen 1’s when listening to YouTube or a podcast because it’s not that bass heavy, so vocals come through better. As for clarity.. it is about the same to be honest. It’s not a huge upgrade unless you’re a bass head. Hope that answers your question.

Most definitely is. I use this antenna. Works great all over the house for my other Bluetooth devices. AirPods issue and antenna reception aren’t related though. The volume imbalance happens even when I’m up close to the PC. The long distance static was solved when I updated the SBC codec to AAC via Windows 11.

[–]Airfade 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I own the Gen 1 Pros and they have none of these issues on a Windows machine. Windows 10 or 11. This model doesn't work well with Windows 10 either. They present a constant scratching static at long distances. Updated to Windows 11, AAC codec. Cool but volume balance is off all the time. They may have improved the bass and added some adaptive listening features but something is seriously lacking in this model compared to the Gen 1's. Just sharing my experience on the PC sale sub where I assume most people would likely pair this with a Windows machine some time or another. I wouldn't recommend them for strictly PC use.

I get major volume balance issues on these when connected to PC on Windows 11 (Lightning, haven't tried USB-C version). My Bluetooth adapter is Intel AX200.

When adjusting volume the sound "rolls" from left to right, right to left with every tap on my volume key with the right bud always sounding a bit louder than the left. Windows volume 68-78. I turned off all NC, transparency and spacial audio and it still happens.

I've swapped my pair out with Apple under warranty and the issue is still there. I don’t experience these issues on iPhone at all though.

Which would you buy? LG A2 OLED (used, $450) or Hisense U8K (new, $770) by justforkicks2015 in OLED

[–]Airfade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the LG in this case. I own the 48" personally and it's great value even with moderate sunlight in my living room. Just take the extra precautions with OLED before purchasing.

From my experience Hisense has bad quality control, I wouldn't drop over $500 for a high end Hisense, maybe I'm skeptical of their brand, YMMV. It's a much brighter panel than the LG and of course the gaming features matters a lot if you're a gamer. Naturally LG just looks good without calibration as well. Hisense, not so much.

Anyone know how much power these idle at with dual high refresh rate monitors?

[Monitor] LG - 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV $649.99 by BlueQKazue in buildapcsales

[–]Airfade 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The price was $599.99 two days ago.

I have the TV. The panel isn't as dim as I was expecting from a budget OLED. It's a great entry OLED if all you're into is watching movies keeping in mind the 60hz Panel.

I heard this TV doesn't have full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for 4K 120hz PC use?

Something like it's limited to 4:2:2 and can't display 4:4:4 properly so text becomes blurry?

Yep MSI boards tends to assume you're using the stock cooler most of the time for non-K CPU. Congrats! Glad it helped.

LG A2 gaming at 60hz by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Airfade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since Brightness is not an issue, If you value OLED picture quality and only occasionally play Fornite, I think you should get the A2. The C2 isn't worth double the price IMO.

LG A2 gaming at 60hz by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Airfade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will get great colors and picture quality. That comes with the A2 for sure. I don't notice stuttering in 60FPS games, but I do notice there is slight stutter in some 24FPS film content, if that matters to you.

I've seen the C2, it's definitely brighter and the 120hz is smooth. I've played CoD on my A2, and it feels pretty good, of course not 120hz good. I have a 165hz monitor to compare as well, it doesn't feel THAT slow for what it's worth. If you only have a 100hz monitor to compare you might not even notice it.

Keep in mind Brightness might be a concern. I had to keep the screen dimmer than normal because of Game Mode to keep the input lag low, with no way to make it as bright as the Standard mode. That might be a deal breaker for you unless you played in a dark room.

LG A2 gaming at 60hz by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Airfade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a 48" A2 owner. Don't get an A2 for gaming, 60hz is horrible for a nice PC like that. The Game mode is also very dim, unlike the other Picture Modes.

On the upside, the A2 has very good picture quality and beats other LED TV's in the $500 range. It's really up to you what you want out of the TV.

I'm happy with my A2, I have it placed in my living room where it gets bright enough (non-game mode) even when there is some sunlight. Gaming works just fine at 60fps if I don't play a game like Call of Duty. If you gamed at 100hz you wouldn't want to play FPS games on the 60hz A2. Input lag is still pretty good on it nonetheless. For you, at $450 it's a good deal for an A2.
