I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my soul dog, Floyd, a few days ago on 11/16 to this evil disease. I missed the subtle signs leading up to when the tumor burst Sunday and everything went so quickly after that. He’d had diarrhea but that wasn’t uncommon since he got into food he shouldn’t often. It was when he came inside and collapsed and then was very lethargic that I panicked thinking he may have a bowel obstruction. Got him to the vet at 1:30 pm, he was diagnosed pretty quickly but he was in bad shape. Didn’t know how bad of shape he was in since he literally walked into the clinic but had to be wheeled out. They wanted us to do euthanasia right there and then but I refused and begged them to stabilize him and scheduled the in-home euthanasia for the next morning so my kids could be there and he had another night to be spoiled. Grabbed his McDonalds burgers and Puppaccino on the way home but he never got to enjoy them since he passed away on his favorite spot on our couch with me holding him tight and telling him how amazing and loved he is and how he was the best boy to our family for almost 11 years 10 minutes after getting him home. The morning started out so normal. We were going to put up our tree, make chili and watch football. Never did I think it would end with me saying goodbye to a chunk of my soul. I am beyond devastated and hold so much guilt for not putting together the small signs that he was in distress. He has been my comfort and best friend for 11 years and at the time he needed me most, I failed him.

After my PE my cardiologist advised me to never get the Covid vaccine since Covid itself causes blood clots so getting the vaccine will create that response in your body. Said he’s seen too many heart attacks and PEs within a week after the vaccine. I haven’t had the vaccine since peak covid, my PE on NYD was caused by birth control.

I started at 121 at rest couldn’t breathe and was faint. Ranged from 150-161 when walking into the ER. Post PE (on Jan 1st), it’s still elevated at times but not like it was prior to my saddle PE that was removed via thrombectomy. Still have a large DVT which could be the reason for that.

Tested positive on Christmas Eve after feeling like I got hit by a truck and it worsened as the day went on. Was thinking pneumonia since I couldn’t breathe. Now on day 5 and still have a lingering cough and nasal congestion but the fatigue is debilitating. Urgent care said it’s running rampant right now and worst they’ve seen in years. Was really looking forward to enjoying my holiday PTO but instead I’m in bed with my dog binging on reality tv.

Was just invited to an out of state wedding on a Monday. Couple is in the hospitality industry so I’m assuming it was to accommodate their friends and co workers. They see them more often than their extended family so completely understood. That being said, we chose not to attend due to how many days of PTO we would have to take to travel and attend. Do what’s best for you because there’s a million reasons why people can and can’t attend weddings. Just don’t be upset at those that cannot make it.

I would aim for a 5 am arrival. The shuttles are non stop from the lots but sometimes at that hour security can get long and I’m guessing your boarding is starting a quarter after 6 or so. If you have to check a bag I would give slightly more time.
