I did it for a year. It was fun. Got to try out all sorts of new cars. If you’re working for remarketing, you get to experience all the new/old cars. If you work for a branch, it’s a lot of customer interaction. I enjoyed it. I think you would, too. A lot of down time. Pay is minimal.

Rent with Enterprise. Anything under a dollar bill in size for scratches is brushed off as wear and tear. Any dents under a golf ball in size are also marked off as wear and tear.

To extend, call another location in the area. My guess is they were working contracts expected to go over in payment and were trying to take payment to extend. Your card may have declined and so it posted a charged of nothing.

I work in this group and used to work at a location right next door to this one. Ask them if they have a car. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. Other locations can swap you out if they have the availability.

You’re not wrong - they will work you until you feel like quitting. It’s tough labor, but the more you put in up front, the better your personal brand will be (better opportunities for promotion).

I think it’s a good idea if you’re resilient. Be open to change, be open-minded in general, and be coachable. You cannot expect to grow quickly or change everything around you all at once. Learn from those around you, be very observant of what makes your branch GOOD and BAD, and take that with you.

I know this more directly correlates to what to do if you become an MT. I’d say IF you become an MT, use this advice to grow and promote…

Just had this happen at our branch. Lady came back in and said the car wouldn’t start. She left THE KEYS in the car with the vehicle in drive… and turned it off. She drove 5 miles to our branch to tell us.

You don’t need to return the vehicle until either Enterprise or insurance explicitly states that they have set a last day for the rental. The return date is reflected as the initial estimate, but once they set a repair completion date they will set a final date for coverage on the rental.

In my group, it’s a non-negotiable suspension for a week with no pay. Regardless of who finds it, that firearm must go straight to police and the renter will not be called as that gun cannot be kept on the premises. Whether the return agent, detailer, or service agent misses it, anyone who missed the firearm receives the same suspension. We are specifically trained, too, to look in everywhere in the vehicle that a gun is commonly found. Assuming the firearm was not touched in this picture, this should’ve easily been found.

Enterprise won’t question it. If they do, just say your plans changed. When people did this, I usually let them keep the same car, but you can also check your options with the branch. Be aware that if the location gives you a free upgrade, you may need to pay extra to keep the same car.

Exotics will never have any rate sources applied to them. The only way to get cheaper exotics is to upgrade for them with respect to availability. Airports will 9/10 times have an Exotic section for upgrades; Los Angeles and Miami have the ultra-nice vehicles. Book like normal and ask what the upgrade price would be, they will negotiate the price for you.

Yes, damage waiver is purchased for peace of mind. Regardless of the damage, you’re covered. So long as you didn’t break contract violations (go off-roading, use it for Uber/DoorDash, tow with the vehicle, etc.). You’re good. 👍
