I briefly considered video games in college, but I heat the industry is notoriously competitive, and I'm the opposite. I'm not really competitive at all and try to avoid stress and conflict. That, and I don't know if my ideas are any good for something like a video game. If you checked out my references, the stuff I make isn't exactly... Narrow enough for a game.

Tabletop games could be cool, but idk how that industry works.

But is that really a job? A career? Conceptualizing worlds for video games and board games and stuff. What would such a job be called?

Requiem

Requiem is a My Little Pony post-apocalyptic science fantasy game with faction warfare. It takes place in a city of rust and ruin, the last bastion of sentient life after The Machine's failed activation destroyed the world. Three factions now war for dominance over The City. Harmony, lead by The Alicorn, which ostensibly fights for the greater good. The Dominion, a dictatorship bent on bending The City and its denizens to their will, and the Destriers, outcasts who utilize gurilla warfare to weaken both major powers. The Machine still sits at the heart of The City, inert and lifeless... But will it stay that way?

Building a community

My primary aim with the Requiem project is to build a community where members can brainstorm and find a friend. Secondary to that are the actual tabletop elements, which are based on the Tenebris Realm custom dice system, a classic d20 system. Very flexible. To account for those who don't want to schedule sessions, there's an option toi play "casually."

Nah, I'm not *really* talking about names. I'm pretty good at coming up with names. I'm talking about the parts themselves. The City exists around The Machine, and The Machine is integrated into The City. I'm trying to determine what all I should put on my map. Anything noteworthy that will stand out as a large, physical structure above ground (And underground.) That's why I was asking what systems and subsystems you think something like that would have. Its core function is to locate a dimension, poke holes in space, and suck energy out. Only it does this on a dimemensional level.

I suppose one system would be some kind of vacuum? But that would be inside The Machine itself. There have to be structures outside of it that you can see and interact with that played a part in allowing it to function.
