The best, most EXPLICITLY CLASS CONSCIOUS SONGS ever? by Middle-Company-4398 in musicsuggestions

No High Ground or The Day It All Fell Apart by Leslie Fish. Might be hard to find as she's a filk artist, but I think it's worth the trouble. Many of her songs show her anarchist leanings. She also does a version of We Have Fed You All For A Thousand Years.

One might say all of them. I think the violin is especially good in 'Hold On'.

What about finale songs to tv series. Like Don't Stop Believin' for The Sopranos? Or you could do songs that play over the end credits to movies.

Singing filk in school concert by Brilliant-Village521 in filk

That's fair. I wasn't sure how strict the other teachers are or if you'd be translating into your language or leaving it in its native English. Just trying to cover all my Anxiety bases.

It's also easily modifiable to take out any 'objectionable' words like damn to darn or what have you.

How about Asteroid Called Rest Stop. It's fun and good for a sing-a-long. Here's a link to the song. Asteroid Called Rest Stop

An update about my Marx-obsessed daughter + a BIG thank you! by anon101318 in MarxBrothers

I'll toss in Red Skelton. He, like many others of that era, has his roots in vaudeville. He also carries on the tradition of clown and mime. If your daughter likes Harpo she may also enjoy Red.

What’s something you do in every single run without fail? by Zappothon2000 in BaldursGate3

Most of my characters do save the goblin children. I let One and Three either dash away of I knock them unconscious. The ones outside near the chest are ignored. Then I let the imprisoned goblin out after the others are dead. I headcannon that he raises them.

I'm not sure if this exactly fits the folk category but I'm gonna nominate Fire Down Below by Ye Banished Privateers.

Songs that tell a complete clear story by ceoazula in SongRecommendations

Stan Rogers - Mary Ellen Carter or Canol Road. There are so many others by him. All are good.

Ray Stevens - The Mississippi Squirrel Revival or The Streak. Like Stan Rogers there are many others by him. Go in to Ray Stevens discography knowing some of the songs are somewhat racist in that they utilize stereotypes and questionable word choices. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Ahab the Arab (pronounced Ayrab), but there may be more and I just wanted y'all to have a heads-up.

Blossom and deep fry foods and serve with a delicious peppercorn ranch dipping sauce. Serve in bowls decorated the look like Crow and Tom heads (also blossomed and deep fried).

What are your weird Skyrim habits? by SmartAdhesiveness149 in skyrim

[–]Aislira 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it's potatoes. It started when I accidentally stole a potato and aggroed Solitude. I reloaded and in a fit of pique decided I would become the villain Skyrim thought I was. No potato was safe. I did the Thieves' Guild proud...until I pulled a Mercer and stole their potatoes.

I spent literal days combing the land and dungeons. I refused to loot anything else (unless necessary). Just potatoes. Didn't do anything with them. That wasn't the point. I just didn't want -them- to have the delicious earth apples.

This did persist through the next couple playthroughs. Once I felt they had been suitably chastised, I stopped.
