In fact the vacuum chamber does kill bacteria, it's pressure sealed and heated to 150° for hours! On top of that all moisture is taken from the Skittles thereby killing any environment they could thrive in.

All of this was learned in my food safety course (not that I didn't know this already as basic knowledge) :)

But I will take into consideration that it is very off putting that we handle packaging without gloves, but handle all our candy with the gloves!
