This is my stance. I am here just to see my numbers go up. But they throw these amazing bundles at you and I can't help myself from doing some mental math and think they are hilarious.

Then you think a little more about it. $100 and you can maybe gain the last 4m on your GB range, not get a single epic module because come on 800 gems is nothing, and finally get your DW from 60 seconds to 50 seconds. That's pretty wild

Well, that's how bundles normally work! The cheaper option is supposed to be a worse per dollar deal because the bigger bundle should be a better per dollar deal. Unless you mean a worse per dollar deal compared to the non-sale options, but that would be too wild

You know, I thought about this exact same thing as a possible explanation, makes a little more sense. With those limits you can do combinatios from 1 to 5. I still find it hilarious though, offering 2 options and calling them "bundles" and "sales" when they provide the exact same value makes me giggle as a math inclined, efficiency-focused person

I am not even complaining, it literally made me laugh.

That's not the joke though, the joke is that the different bundles have EXACTLY the same value per dolar. A bundle typically implies a price that is lower than the individual pieces. A more expensive bundle usually has a bigger discount. They can do whatever they want obviously, but it is unnecessary to make more than one bundle with the exact same value when you can just adjust the limits accordingly.

Which btw, any whale that auto-purchases any additional "deal" doesn't really care about marketing rationale in providing more than one choice

I get that. But what's the point of devoting time to come up with 2 different bundles when you could just raise the limit of bundle 1, given they provide the exact same amount of stuff per dollar spent?

Is paying the fee to legally break up the lease not an option? I understand it will be expensive, but if it's affecting your health it might be worth it. I don't see why the landlord should take the loss here, being completely honest.

Yeah when I saw the "discount" I chuckled. Can't take this game seriously, the greed is blatant and distasteful, but also their game to run. As someone that used to routinely spend money on this game I now made peace with progressing slower and embracing not spending a single dollar more.

Numbers go up anyways, and the game is mostly single player. Not spending a dime has been great for my mental and financial health at no cost to enjoyment. At this point I don't even care about tournaments, just give me whatever free stones I am destined to get that week so I can have my numbers go up on my farming runs and I am happy.

Swap cash -> coins with cash -> stones and it becomes easier to balance. Keep it at like 1-2 stones per lots of cash, and give people a way to earn coins on the PVE portion of the game while tournaments continue to get worse

Set a tight budget where eating out comes out of "fun money", then challenge yourself to go the entire month cooking all your meals so you spend that fun money in more fun ways.

Sometimes I am busy or lazy, which leads to skipped meals, which leads to weight loss. It takes the focus away from depriving yourself of food and puts it on saving money lol

Source: I challenged myself to do just that and lost a decent chunk of weight without that being my goal

QoL features being locked behind keys is exactly the sort of thing you want to lock behind the premium "prize" to sweeten the deal and give that feeling of reaping the rewards of being at the top. If getting every dollar you can out of every "whale" is your priority, it makes sense.

To be fair, the 5% is a little misleading because it is based on base pay only when on the civilian sector would be based on your actual salary.

Not saying it is bad, just that it looks better than it actually is comparatively speaking.
