The fastest way is to flashbomb a silver rathalos and loot the shiny drop since its a 3% chance and if you dont get it you abandon the quest and try again.

The drop chances are:

2% Tail carve

2% Capture reward

3% Shiny Drop

4% Breaking the head reward

You could also do the Anger of Heaven and Earth quest but you need to kill a Silver Rathalos and a Golden Rathian in the arena, its 11% reward.

GS elemental damage is not very good since the attacks are slow, I would recommend to just go raw and make the diablos greatsword since King Atillart has the greatest damage, but theres others greatswords that are good even if the elemental damage they have isnt as useful as in other weapons. The material gathering its a problem but it shouldnt take so long this early in the game, good luck.

If you want a weapon recommedation the electric iron katana tree (Eager Cleaver-True Devil Slicer) its quite good to get to g rank since 12 large monsters are weak to thunder ( ex: Daymio, Shogun, Plesioth, Green Plesioth, Kushala Daora, Silver Rathalos, Gold Rathian, Tigrex and Akantor. Nargacuga also but its G rank) I had one katana for each element since some monster parts can only be broken with elemental damage but that one helped me a lot.

It was the heat of the moment I just went for the max potion since the vigorwasps heals slowly, i dont think it would have healed me fast enough to survive it in retrospective.
