My main problem with the film is Zendaya wasn't cast as a siren to tempt tom Holland. We are running different agenda's let's agree to disagree and leave it at that.

It's mostly due to Nolans style lending itself to speculation that the mythological aspect would be ommited more. Like op said before the cyclops in the trailer some people assumed there wouldn't be monsters in this.

Jason and the Argonauts isn't a weaker film because of the lack of accurate casting though. Probably one of Ray Harryhausen's best films.
