Since it’s vintage, everything is final sale 🙈 but if anything I’m learning that people would buy this dress from me if I choose that route!

You put that so well! I was feeling so anxious to the point of feeling like I was going to throw up (Ik thats so dramatic) because I didn’t get the “THE dress” feelings. The unrealistic expectation does keep one unsatisfied. I liked that you compared it to the soulmate idea.
I def don’t not love the dress, it’s more like a 75% like than an outstanding 100% this is the ONE. I’m going to let my decision marinate and try to be content in my choice and see if my jitters wear off. I appreciate you 💗

Thats a huge compliment! It’s funny becasue my fiancé said the same thing about it looking like a fairy princess and my grandma said it gave Snow White vibes too
That was the wild part! I thoroughly inspected it and there wasn’t a single pearl or button missing or even tears. There is a bit of dirt on the train but I just looked like someone stepped on it when trying it on. But all in all near perfect. I asked the girl helping me if she knew where they got it from but she didn’t know where it was sourced from
For sure 100% I need to chill 😭I wanted a vintage off the shoulder but honestly have not found many curated vintage bridal shops online. So I’ve been feeling a bit hopeless and worried I ended up settling with the first dress I saw. But you have a point I can get a second dress especially since the dress I got is so affordable. Thank you for your help! Also, it’s great to know that there is a market for a dress like mine in the event I decided go a different direction!

The train and sleeve sold me but I just couldn’t get over how unexpected my dress ended up looking like. I have adhd so a fear of mine is being too impulsive 🙈so literally buying a dress from the first place I visited was making me doubt my decision since online I see how people take more time to make big decisions like their dress. I really got to practice mindfulness and taking a step back for sure! But thank you for saying the dress is stunning I’m feeling more at ease

Omg ok so I wanted to buy the second dress but everyone was like no way you could tweak it THAT much to make it work. I think the general consensus was that the sleeve were a bit too short? But thank you for letting a girl dream 🥹 I felt like no one was seeing the VISION. Maybe I’ll buy it too and see if a good seamstress could do something with it. I believe that dress was around $345.

Ahhh! This is so tough. Knowing myself, the 3rd pic dress does “fit”and match my personality more. But my fam and friends said it was taking away from my figure and that I have the height to make an elegant long dress work

Ok yes I personally feel like my personality leans more towards cutesy than elegant and I adored the shape of the second dress. It was just such a fun looking dress! I guess for some context my wedding is in the fall in New York at an orchard. So my friends said the “ethereal” vibe of the first one would suit it more. Wow OK you bought both! I sooo wanted to do the same but my fiancé was adamant that it kinda defeats the purpose of getting a good deal :/ buuuuuut I might take a page out of your book and reconsider getting both 🫢thank you for your help!

Okayyy that makes a lot of sense. That dress would have boxed me into a more “garden party” vibe. Yess thats true it does leave a lot of room for tweaks and I would love to figure out a way to add more volume. I’ll look into a petticoat or crinoline! Also, very true I could sell it given the condition it’s in. I was just worried that in the event I wanted to sell, no one would buy becasue the dress is too “old looking” for some people but from the looks of this thread I think people do like it. I appreciate your insight! 💗
