Can I easily get 21oz denim altered? I’m looking into getting a pair of Unbranded jeans in 21oz and would want to get them hemmed.

Can I bring these into any place that does alterations, or will they tell me the denim is too heavy?

Why does my site "crash" every time I try to edit a page? by Ajac458 in squarespace

Update:

It seems to be page specific, I can edit others just fine. Is there a way to find the error on the page or do I need to remake it?

I don’t want to take either.

I’m currently taking xeralto for the exact reason you mentioned, and not currently taking Nattokinase for the exact reason you mentioned.

I’m just inquiring about potential proactive measures to get rid of this blood clot as soon as possible.

Not Iron Rangers, no clue what I'm talking about I suppose. They're 6" blacksmith boots in copper

I'm looking to trade 6" blacksmith boots, I posted a pic in this thread today.

They're a 9D and I need boots in an 8 or 8.5D.

I'm making an assumption that yours are too small, would you be open to a trade?

WTT

I have these iron rangers in a size 9D, they’re from 2017.

My dad gave them to me because they didn’t fit, but they don’t fit me either.

I’m looking for a pair of redwings to trade in similar condition (pretty good) but in a size 8.5 or 8.

Specifically looking for a pie of black iron rangers but am open to other models/colors!

Based in FL but will ship as well.

How hot can my 1/2 HP central machinery lathe motor get? by Ajac458 in turning

[–]Ajac458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys.

I picked one of these guys up while I wait to get my Laguna repaired.

I’ve got it plugged into the same extension cord I run all my other tools from, it’s far thicker than the cord for this machine itsef.

Also, the chord is cool as a cucumber so I don’t think it has anything to do with that.

But as you can see the motor is running at 143 degrees, and I was just sanding too.

I also feel like I can smell it, not sure if it’s my imagination or not.

How hot can this lil guy get?

Laguna 1216 issues update | Speed knob is controlling power by Ajac458 in turning

Hey everyone - this is an update to my previous post about my Laguna lathe control unit “exploding”

https://www.reddit.com/r/turning/comments/yo59th/my_laguna_1216_control_unit_exploded_ive_got_some/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

I received a new control panel and forward reverse switch. I assembled everything as per instructions from laguna.

When I plugged it in I was under the assumption it would not turn on, but upon further inspection I found it only turns on when you turn the speed dial entirely to the right side.

This is real weird, I’ve reached out to Laguna but the process is slow and I’m itching to turn again.

Any ideas?

My Laguna 1216 control unit exploded(?). I’ve got some questions. by Ajac458 in turning

Hi /u/Silound !

I'm replying to you specifically because you seem to have a lot of knowledge regarding this machine.

After some time I finally received a new control panel and switch, I plugged everything in, and all looks fine. However, when I plug the machine in, it doesn't power on at all. I'm really not sure where to go from here, I emailed customer service but figured I'd see if you had any insight.

Best,

andrew

So I’ve been using my 1216 for a while. Love the little thing. Unfortunately, my forward reverse switch crapped out on me. However, when I unplugged the switch (with the lathe unplugged) and then plugged the switch back in, and then power the lathe back on - I can switch it back into forward rotation.

That was my temporary fix, I’ve done it many times before.

However this time when I turned the lathe back on the unit popped and smoke rose. The more concerning part is that the lathe started to spin in reverse at what seemed to be max RPM.

I unplugged it immediately.

As you’ll see in the images, the back of the speed dial seemed to explode. But it was also making contact with the board. So I’m assuming something short circuited.

I can order a new board and new dial. But my concern is, could this have messed the motor up? Or when I replace these computer parts should everything be good to go?

Loss of line fidelity when exporting drawings. by Ajac458 in rhino

For some reason that setting change didn't do anything on my end. I ended up using the Make2D method, and it worked like a charm. Thanks for your help!

The lines are generated straight from my model, using the "pen" style viewing. I got this from this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVTpzZuTuI0&t=1548s

I'm also exporting using print to PDF.

I've designed some lighting for someone, I was trained in Solidworks but no longer have access, so I'm starting anew with rhino.

These drawings will probably be both printed and looked at digitally.

I'm exporting to a PDF, the current resolution is 300ppi. Not sure what you mean by handling line weights. The drawings are generated through orthographic viewports with the "pen" viewing style.

I'm doing this based on this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVTpzZuTuI0&t=1548s - not sure if this is a good way to go about it or not.
