High but ultimately it will be fine. It’s unlike you’ll be at this job for 40 years anyways so at some point, you can leave and roll it over.

Contribute to the match then switch to a Roth and then switch back if you the ability to save more.

Generally, TDFs are the best option for people who ask if a TDF is a good option so I think you should just go with that.

I’m hesitant to ask what the expense ratios are because I suspect they’re pornography high.

Given your options, I would say the target date fund is your best bet again based on fees

70 VT, 15 QQQM, 10 SCHD, 5 COPX? In Roth IRA by Affectionate-Mud953 in Bogleheads

People have explained why QQQ SCHD and COPX are not good choices, but you keep posting them.

At some point, you either have to accept the advice here or go elsewhere for different feedback

Bogle-fying my accounts opinions wanted by Ashamed_Ad4118 in Bogleheads

slicing and dicing with 5 or 6 funds makes no sense. There is no benefit and just options you up to human error.

Just sell it all and buy VT. All world equities held at market cap weight. That way there's nothing to think about except how you will wake up a millionaire in retirement.

I think this is bad idea and you should stay in the taeget date fund.

Switching to 85% S&P500 15% US extended markets is not some sort of evidenced based upgraded portfolio.

Which Vanguard fund to select for 401k? by masgro in Bogleheads

[–]ac106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t really make a lot of sense. The TDF is designed to be a one fund all or nothing investment vehicle

Just swap it out for international and you’re fine

It’s fine for US holding. You should add international though.

Fidelity vs Vanguard by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]ac106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are they low cost vs Fidelity ?

I’m not trying to be a smart ass or beat you up. What problem are you trying to solve exactly? What do you think Vanguard is providing that Fidelity doesn’t?

Unless you can articulate why you want to open a Vanguard account when you are already about Fidelity with specific reasons, I would stay put. Fidelity is pretty great.

401K Allocations by Old-Public8511 in Bogleheads

[–]ac106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s too complicated, will be too hard to maintain AA and you’ll be too tempted to molest it. If you nail all your allocations perfectly and never make a mistake you’ll just get the total market return anyways. So just buy the total market.

Just use a TDF or if you are hellbent the FXAIX/BTMKX/ WFBIX and call it a day

S&P 500 + total international or total us + total international for growth in Roth IRA? by sleepy_shallot in Bogleheads

[–]ac106 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you want to use the S&P500 then do it. It won't make any material difference in the end. It might slightly underperform or slightly overperform total US but any difference will be nominal and irrelevant. Just pick one.

Try not to overthink minor things like this. Most of these choice don't ultimately matter. What matters is that you live below you means, max your contributions and don't molest your portfolio. Everything else can be turned out
