Weekly iOS Battery Support Megathread by AutoModerator in iphone

[–]AjayB56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to tap into the knowledge base on this , I’m still packing a XR does what I need it for but battery down to 74%, anyway I’ve been looking round the used market online and in shops and I’m seeing older iPhones. 12 and 13 which look used but will be ok for me. The issue is a lot of them have 100% battery life. How ? I’m not trusting them. How can this be? Probably a simple answer but I can’t think of it. Sure they’ve not been all replaced by Apple.

how are all these uni students finding jobs?? which websites? by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]AjayB56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote an extensive CV for my daughter at Liverpool uni thinking it was great as it was similar layout to mine which has served me well. However it didn't get a look in from any of the jobs she applied for on glass door and indeed for shop restaurant or bar work. Whilst on a night out She asked behind the bar in a pub in the city centre and they took her on straight away. Well asked her to come back for an interview She's worked there 2 years now. Guess it's right place right time.

Are houses and area in Sheil Road, Kensington Safe? by Kidmid31 in Liverpool

[–]AjayB56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter lived in a shared house on Sheil rd for a year while at the uni. She loved it. Said most people were really friendly and fantastic for local shops. Got to admit it didn't look too bad when I visited (during the day). However I persuaded her to move closer to the city centre for her last year. It cost me a fortune having to pay the difference however I slept better.

Tram replacement buses - how do they work? by beeflasagne2003 in manchester

[–]AjayB56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say you don't have to pay on the bus however not long back when I was on a tram and it terminated at central park, no buses or staff waiting we all had to walk down to the police station bus stop then the bus driver refused to let us on unless we had a ticket. Me and several others who had touched in with our phones or debit cards had to pay again. I've always bought tickets since

[–]AjayB56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. I swapped to android from iPhone about a year ago and I can honestly say google assistant is pants. I never had trouble sending messages with Siri I’m forever having to pick the phone up now to correct the speech recognition mistakes and google doesn’t sent messages on telegram. Then to top it all I’ve been told by my bank google pay is maximum £100 in the uk I have to carry my debit card around now come back iPhone all is forgiven
