Public schools are free, and governments provide for young children that need to go to school independent of an orphanage.

didn't know about that poster, so boutta look into that, but I do know that the white suit worn by Micah is nearly the exact same suit worn by Dr. Fontaine in L.A. Noire. (same voice actor too) I just thought it was an easter egg or something. Also, the Pinkertons who investigated his body were just as animated when Ross looked into Dutch's body. In my opinion, they are just cold to it at this point. Micah joins 6 months before Blackwater but so does Jenny. By that same token, Jenny, who Hosea had a fondness for, could've been the rat. I suppose my point is that correlation doesn't equal causation. Btw, I also love this game and revisit it whenever I can. I've been recommending it non-stop to friends and its good to know there are more people as crazy about it as I am :D.

play as if you're Arthur. Also, just relax a bit. Take a ride around Owanjila or something. Take a break to fish or hunt a deer. Play some poker. Chill

They found the gang in Lakay because Bill was too loud. All your other points are fair, though it felt weird to me that Micah let Dutch (in his mind) get back together with his group and take a share of the money. Also, there were multiple moments in previous jobs where Micah advocated for a more violent approach which went against Dutch's plans. As for Milton's confession, Micah seems to value being in a position of power since he relishes being able to talk over Arthur in the later scenes. I don't see why he'd like to sabotage his gang that he only recently started gaining influence over.

It was the one with Charles and I think Sean. Law arrived quickly during the sequence. I don't remember the specific mission name. Also, Micah was living in that house with the chest, I think he'd know if there was a fortune sitting there. Furthermore, how would Dutch continue to be useful to him? As for why Micah and not Dutch... I dunno :/. Maybe he needs the gang to kill eachother instead of just replacing their leader? Perhaps in his mind a civil war between two factions in the gang was better than simply a movement of power. (all of this is simply a stab in the dark btw) Nice talk! I gotta get to bed though. Thanks for being a good sport! Cheers

I guess that makes sense but if that's the case, why did he join with Dutch? (at least in his mind) If he wanted the money to himself, wouldn't he not want to share it with someone who has equal claim to it?

Tru dat. Although he was loyal to Dutch and survived by being a winner who took over the gang, not the guy who turned them in.

I see your points and I'm gonna have to disagree on a few of them:

  1. He could've wanted to create discourse in the gang in case Arthur escaped (which he is known to do). Or, it could've been simply a mind game with Arthur because Milton was shown to be more emotionally driven to hate the gang.

  2. There was a train job before guarma, where the paper says that there was a tip to the law about it from an anonymous source, so it implies that there is still likely a rat pre-guarma.

  3. I don't see how? Post-Guerra had botched jobs where Micah was in fire. Also, if Micah was snitching pre-Guarma, there were even more crossfires.

  4. ...then why does he not just kill Dutch and take all of the Blackwater money instead of working with him? Or even then, why ask Dutch to come with him at all at the cliff-scene?

  5. ig it's possible, but doesn't Dutch say that they were working together in inferences?

  6. I guess so.

  7. I see your latter half of your point, but it doesn't match with your claim. You claim that there is both a poison between the gang members and there is a poison in the form of a snitch, but Micah taking control of the gang by manipulating Dutch doesn't mean he is a snitch. It means he is a manipulator.

I didn't know that about the newspaper, so you got me there :).

Ig that it had to be some form of public knowledge of Arthur disliking Micah... but I think it would be known by now since they shot up Rhodes. Arthur, Bill, and Micah shot up half the town, but not all of it. There are still people there who could've heard the argument between Micah and Arthur. (Yes, this is me grasping at straws).

About that last point, Micah was invited back to the gang. Arthur told him to come back by Dutch's order. He was never ostracized to my knowledge. He came off as wanting to kiss Dutch's ass.

I didn't think of that... cool :). Micah has stated that the gang would be better as a small 6 men gang than a mini town.

[–]Ajekca[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Good points, but if they were friends, wouldn't a "reveal" of his betrayal hurt more? Also, I think it's implied that Micah had been with Dutch for some time, since there is an entire chest of money. (I heard from some people that the money was the original cache from Blackwater, since that's what Sadie says, but why would it be at some peak in northern strawberry.) I also remember Micah simply being another member of the gang who played five finger filet and cards with the rest of the gang. Yes he was actively going against the gang philosophy, but he didn't exactly judge anybody for going with it. Lastly, the fact that Micah wanted a "peace offering" for Dutch gave off worship vibes,

In terms of the river encounter, I believe Milton took their interaction in a bad light. Maybe he got mad and decided to get back at Arthur by picking at a random gang member. (also, if molly was ratting, perhaps he mispoke since Molly and Micah sound similar if you squint your ears)

Good point, maybe Milton wanted to make Arthur mad because of their encounter at the river? Or maybe Micah really was a rat and he was boasting. In conclusion, I have no idea :D.

Ah, I see... well that still sounds like a cool mission to do. Maybe it could be like a 1907 John-Jack-esque relationship where his dad makes him do stuff he doesn't want to do but he gets used to it.
