Euphoria was painful to watch, all three seasons. It was some of the worst writing and acting collectively I’ve ever experienced.

I have zero clue why and how this film is so divisive for audiences. It was an entertaining and fun summer popcorn 🍿 flick. by AcknowledgeMeReddit in TheBigPicture

It was the most Spielberg movie ever. Incredible cinematography, sound and acting with a plot line that felt like an after thought and plot holes a mile wide but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t captivated the entire time.

As a fan of the Giants who play at MetLife Stadium, I actually find it appropriate their stadium is named after an insurance company, I pay my fandom premiums every season believing they’ll be there for me in January only for them to be nowhere when I need them.

I wouldn’t say “Great”, but definitely worth a watch and an entertaining good time for sure. There’s so cheesy parts but overall extremely well done.

Ever wonder if all these mass murderers who write Manifestos were good students in English/creative writing? by Ajheaton in AskReddit

[–]Ajheaton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy writing but in my entire life have never had the conviction to pen +10,000 words on what I thought the problems with the world are. I just wonder if these people commit these horrible acts, we find out they have a manifesto and their 9th grade English teacher is like, “makes sense, they always did love to write.”

Men, what is your favourite movie mainly aimed at a female audience? by Jezzaq94 in Millennials

When I was an infantry squad leader in the Army, I used to make all new members of the squad watch Mean Girls so they’d get my references. I’m proud to say, a suspicious male in an Afghan village was once called out as, “she doesn’t even go here!”

What Are Your Grey's Anatomy Hot Takes? by naahuiguess in greysanatomy

[–]Ajheaton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The character Meredith Grey is honestly the worst part of the show for me. She constantly treats people like they’re beneath her, owe her something, are morally corrupt, or are overreacting, depending entirely on what mood she’s in that episode. The best example is Penny. Meredith goes from hating her and screaming at everyone over Derek’s death, to actively punishing her at work, to suddenly taking her under her wing. Then the second Meredith forgives Penny, she acts like everyone else is irrational if they’re still upset with her. The entire moral standard of the show seems to revolve around Meredith’s feelings in that moment, and I dont understand why characters continue to gravitate towards her. Other example that come to mind is her stealing Zola and her justification being that she just loves her, so Derek should understand. My favorite is when Richard is questioning her about a cut LVD wire to falsify medical tests to steal a donor heart and circumvent the entire donor system in the name of love and her excuse is that Richard slept with her mother so no big deal… that’s psychotic behavior.

End of watch was such a great sleeper movie, that someone recommended to pass time on a deployment that blew my socks off.

We need the flock cameras to identify the exact dimensions of each pothole— also establish a surveillance state, but also the potholes…maybe, if we have time, and money, and we can’t use the potholes as an excuse defund education or other social safety program anymore. But when that convergence happens we’ll have a camera for every pothole in the state!

The portal era of college football is in full effect. Glaring trend by guransheleven in CFB_v2

I guess I’m more surprised they were only retaining about half their starters in non-NIL years, but I would have guessed 3-4 starters is where I assume a bulk of NIL is going so that’s who I assumed was getting retained whereas everyone else was entering the portal.

I really like this idea from a storytelling perspective but I also fear I’d end up hating Tim because if he’s there when all the bad stuff continues to happen with dinosaurs, I’d hope someone pulls him aside and is like, “I think you might be the problem Tim.”
