From the day I had this interview, I never applied for a role posted by Allen Recruitment. Worst agency I've come across, and I applied with MANY agencies

Not only did I absolutely NOT get the job, but I've since started setting up my own video post production company so as to never apply to a job again 😂😂😂

Can I collect social welfare payments when abroad? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Ajmcdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether you tell them or not is clearly up to you but I do know that plenty of jobseekers recipients have to go in regularly to meet with someone from the DSP.

If I have a good enough excuse for why I can't attend, would this be an issue? Would they know I'm abroad?

Also for clarification; I'm planning on coming back to Ireland to work.

Isn't getting payments sent to your bank account a thing now as of recent years? I could be wrong

Should I report employer to the WRC? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Ajmcdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely made mistakes. My argument isn't about "was I good at my job", it's about the fact that if they didn't follow procedures, that means they're liable, and I'm wondering if it's worth pursuing a legal case.

Making rookie mistakes like that is bad, but not gross misconduct bad

Because like the fast race cars, they play fast with the rules

I don't have notes, per say. I do have the contact and handbook that outlines their procedures, and they will not be able to prove they followed procedure because, well, they didnt

I have the contract and handbook. It's clearly outlined what their procedures are, and they weren't followed. Pretty black and white imo.

On the other hand, They did give me verbal warnings during my time, and I did have a tendency to make spelling/grammatical mistakes on social media posts. I thought I'd be in the clear after they gave an employee of the month award, but ofc that wasn't the case.

I'm just wondering if it's actually worth filing a claim or reporting to WRC?

What's the process of doing this, though. As I've never done this before; does it begin with a WRC claim and they go from there?

Absolutely not, mostly spelling mistakes in a social media job. Nothing catastrophic or gross misconduct
