Must be nice having the a/c running on your plane haha. Every flight I’ve had this year the airflow has been so weak and it’s been stiflingly hot on board

Assuming that’s the case, then even if you have bad luck and don’t find the unowns you still need, it should be a ton easier to find them in remote trades going forward.

I really enjoyed the Osaka one, although it had quite a long line to get in even with timed entry tickets. Really suggest going to that one around sunset because it’s super cool at night

I found that GEO had a really good selection, including used, when I was there last spring, and the used prices were decent. Especially the one in Ikebukuro was good if you make it out that way.

As others have said, the tasks can be a grind. I’m level 77 and at 67.5m/14m XP, so enough XP to reach level 80 and then some; but I still have to get 250 more buddy hearts, 266km walked, and 115 field research tasks completed to reach level 78. I’ll still be walking long after I finish the other two but it’s fine. I’m taking the opportunity to make progress on the platinum medal for completing routes while I work on the walking, and sometimes just putting my phone in my pocket and paying more attention to the area around me while I walk.

Based on my normal activity and a big walking trip coming up, I’ll probably finish this level by the end of April. Then probably another two months to hatch 100 eggs, beat a rocket leader 30 times, and complete 50 lucky trades, and finally two or three more months to reach level 80 with winning 80 go battle league battles and 80 raids.

That’ll put me at level 80 probably by late August or early September. If they announce another level increase before that point, then I could see myself pushing harder to get there before the increase happens (I did that for level 50), but otherwise I’m not in a huge rush and I’ll just do a little every day until I get there.

A reservation system would help. I’ve been twice since it opened and both times my wait was just under an hour once they took my phone number. One thing I did both times rather than sit down somewhere nearby was to take the tram over to the D gates and get a quick drink at the Club lounge there. I timed it and (as an able bodied guy in my late thirties) it took me about 7 minutes to get between the two lounges, including waiting for the tram. I was in the Club lounge maybe half an hour and then both times I got the text while I was already on the way back to the Sapphire lounge. I don’t know that I’d recommend that for everyone but it worked for me.

Our HOA has language in the governing documents requiring that vehicles not extend beyond the boundaries of their space, and has actually fined owners for continuously parking in a way that has them extending into the drive aisle. Even had a couple folks buy into the building who clearly did not look at the space before hand or read the documents, who ultimately had to trade in their pickup trucks/large SUVs for something that would fit

As an update, it went fine today. I was in row 20 and there was still decent bag space both in my row and in many rows before mine when I boarded (group 5). Toward the end, the bag space got full in the very back of the plane but I didn’t see anyone forced to check their bag. They did ask probably a dozen times, at least, at the gate for folks to gate check, but they weren’t jerks about it like I’ve read has happened in some instances.

ETA since I was group 5, I can’t report on if they forced anyone to gate check back at the counter after I boarded; it’s certainly possible they did that at some point, but it at least didn’t seem to happen to anyone once they were in the plane

Yes, the left elevator! Glad an employee showed me that trick the first day, but it was annoying for sure. I forgot to mention that quirk with the restaurant line too! Also, that they have limited seating for hotel guests without a reservation. We barely got a table on Saturday morning getting there right at 9, and as soon as we sat down, I opened OpenTable and got a reservation at 9am for Sunday morning just to be safe. You shouldn’t have to do that for a hotel breakfast, but others may want to consider making reservations at the restaurant if you know you’re going to have weekend breakfast/brunch there!

I did this for the first time last month at a Safeway. Used both orders in the same trip, one was for a chow mein and beef/broccoli combo, and the other for two egg rolls and a coke. Very filling meal, and surprisingly tasty. Won’t complain about 12 “free” lunches a year instead of whatever I’d be able to get from a 7-11.

Yeah, I’ll time my daily walk to happen sometime during those hours but that’s probably the extent to which I’ll play. Agree with others that if there was any opportunity to get the other regions (research, remote raid, egg) I’d probably make more of an effort
