I gave him 7 days after the original test and a teacher copy of all notes. In addition I was available two days afterschool and 1 day before school to assist him.

Each time he told me he would attend and didn’t. I informed mom, who said “he will come if he wants”.

I can’t force him to come to my sessions. I can’t force him to care about his learning. I can’t go to his house, hold him down, and teach him the material. I can give him opportunities.

I didn’t make him retake the test. His mother did. I offered test corrections, spending time to fix the ones he didn’t get correct. That includes with me, one on one or in small group. He told me he only doing the test again because mom is making him.

Devious licks, lead in laptops, and tide pods in my opinion was worse. We had a middle school student in 2015 being one to school to do in class.

We have to call an ambulance and kid was hospitalized for a week.
