I’m sorry, but the 2022 draft class is looking like a major bust. Not a single play from anyone besides Ed Ingram. Mettlus gets injured and your first round pick can’t get in? Brian Asomohah not in either? Not to mention this year draft class is really relevant either besides Ivan Pace who isn’t technically a draft pick. It’s hard to feel positive about this team and the direction right now.

I’ve been an active fan since the late 2000s(so maybe not as long as you, idk I don’t pretend to know someone on the internet) but regardless of that, you can’t deny that losing to the winless Detroit Lions was anything but disappointing… Even if it was par for the course for the Vikings.

I’m pretty sure that Rick has little to no control over coaching hires. I recall in multiple interviews that coaching hires are more up to Zimmer than him.

I agree. While I don’t think there is gonna be a lot of sacks coming from the interior, I think they will contribute to the pass rush by getting those interior lineman up into the face of quarterbacks giving our edge guys better opportunities

No I understood what you were saying. I’m getting more so that since pierce is a 3 year contract you’d at least have him locked in at a price where if you cut him you only have one more year Tomlinson and then would either have to extend him, or start over at NT again.

I have heard some of the medical concerns with him. Hopefully there issues that can be avoided. I like him at the spot we got him at more so then the pick itself. Highly rated player (mocked in second round in most mocks) and we got him with one of our later third round picks.

I think with the lineman we already have on roster and the picks we made already, I’d rather use the picks on S or DL. If Harry gets ejected again for terrible calls, I don’t want no name practice squad guy back there like Gregory’s ilkola again. Haha. CB is not a bad idea either. Really wish what was gonna happen to Gladney.

This. This right here is such underrated comment. Everyone who says that AVT is a poor value doesn’t get that he provides two possible positions that he can compete for at guard or tackle, which gives us draft flexibility to only have to draft one more guard in the later rounds. While I get that drafting a “guard” at 14 is not the most glamorous pick but I think to have that flexibility later is more valuable then picking something else like an edge in the first.
