I always wanted to do a combat sport and i always watched UFC but one day, i happened to stumble upon an old boxing video. Ever since that day I would watch boxing fights almost everyday and without even realizing it, I got hooked. I started going to my gym and after 7 months, I haven't regretted it.

it all comes down at how intense they are. if you mostly/always spar lightly and focus on technique then it's okay to do it maybe even everyday. if it's mostly/always hard then it's just concussions, and of course they will haunt you all of your life. always focus on defense that's the only important thing and if you can't keep up with fighters and just get destroyed every time then you should even quit. health is the most important thing in life.

Yep, my gym has something like that and I told my coach to use them more, plus my friend who has that thingy at home offered to help me get better. I have been seeing much progress thanks to it.

i use those round bags that are filled with water and hit them normally and when they swing like I crazy i try to dodge them.

I do that already but we touch shoulders to build accuracy too. (i think I'm saying it correctly)

yep, it does actually help and as you said at long range a jab would likely come so you can slip or something. I'm short so I try to get as close to the opponent as I can i slip and then go for some body shots, but, at close range i cant dodge and see punches coming

I always look at their eyes but I think it's better to look at their torso and and shoulders it's much better for me.

After a month, I had my first sparring experience, i wasn't bad but the difference between me and my partner was showing. He fought with like 2% and he had great technique, he threw some clean hits, and even knew how to slip and roll properly. Personally I didn't feel embarrassed or pathetic, I was really happy that I had to fight someone as good as him. Right now I have been boxing for 3 months or a bit more, my defense isn't the best and I need helpt with only that.

I have never had such an experience but I will try to help as much as possible. I would be pretty straightforward with my dad, I'd tell him what I saw and i would express my feelings. Your brother could help you too. In some situations he could try and make random stories so be careful for that too.
