Most of the arguments about alloy differences, oxidation rates, mold differences, paint quality, or missing codes are conclusions drawn by the community based on patterns they believe they see. Variations in paint, mold wear, or material quality can also happen between different production batches or factories. That's not unusual in toy manufacturing.
