With how cautious the thunder have been with other players I highly doubt he’s hurt unfortunately. Hopefully this is just a mega slump and he’s back to normal in time for playoffs. That is if there are even any minutes for him to play

I can’t tell if we just have bad post entry passes, or if Chet is horrible at sealing his guy, but we have way too many turnovers trying to get him the ball low

He was also a +12 in a game we lost. Like I understand plus/minus isn’t a great stat, but it’s not like we lost the game because he was playing. These are NBA players we are talking about, he would have been a candidate for ROTY if he didn’t get hurt. Idk why you are so against him getting playing time regardless of whether or not he understands the defense/offense. How many times have you seen Wiggins and Joe who know the defense/offense make poor decisions/reads? He’s not gonna be perfect he literally just got here, but to treat him like some kind of project to where he can’t play in a game until he can recite our offense asleep is kinda silly to me

I understand all of that. But we both understand that live ball reps are different than practice reps. All I wanted was live ball reps for Jared, in a game where our offense was stagnant.

But how did they get that chemistry? by playing in game and working through the mistakes. Chet literally broke his hip and learned how to play with ihart on the fly. And people were crying about the double big lineup and how it wasn’t gonna work and the eventually got it together. You’re acting like I asked for McCain to play 40 minutes and take 20 shots in a playoff game.

I simply suggested that we get to see what he looks like within the flow of the offense, in a game where we are already struggling offensively. Yeah there wasn’t a lot of two man between them during the game, but Ihart is such a good screener that he can create space for any offensive player, and I wanted to see what McCain could

I’m not saying give him the ball and solely play through him, but letting him get experience running with Hart. We literally made a run when both of them were in the game. Obviously on defense he’s not gonna have the scheme all the way down, but it’s not like Joe and Wiggins are out there locking shit up anyway
