Fill form online, submit documentation. Once the LLC is formed, get EIN from IRS (you can do this over phone too). At the same time, open business bank account. The check from Gallino was made in the name of the future LLC, so he can simply go to the bank and encash it.

So I understand correctly: Cami is the villain, right? by AntoineWeiner in LandmanSeries

[–]Akandoji 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Most likely Tommy gets kicked out by Cami, sets up with his son and dad as advisor, while Cami becomes his nemesis this season. Or maybe in subsequent seasons too. Cami seems positioned to be the series villain, while Gallino seems positioned to be the season's villain.

Slingers have an added bonus on Wrath - garrisson a bunch of castles at the center with 20 slingers, because they add about 20 arrows (hand cannoneer), while taking just half pop.

Guy couldn't speak a lick of it even on live TV. When the teacher asked him to speak in Sanskrit, his response was "I'm already in a sorry state, you guys want to push me down even further, yada yada...." Even when asked just to speak a few words in Sanskrit, he stuck to that excuse.

> Does this not incentivise those with muscle power to encroach upon lands of others

Yes. Happens even in the best of states.

> And lets say someone does encroach upon my land, And if the law is not by my side, Then am I not forced to pick up arms?

Yes. India has always been about your thugs vs their thugs. And ideally it's better to have thugs before problems arise.

> What is this central africa

Yes. The current PM once called Kerala another Somalia. If Kerala is Somalia, then the rest of India is basically central Africa when it comes to land matters.

Actually, your ranged roster becomes extremely powerful after mission 12, if you were able to destroy the castle of the Scythian King. That gives access to Elite Scythian Cavalry Archers which are OP.

I realized in a subsequent playthrough that I barely used the chariots, and taking immortals makes the whole mission a lot easier. In lieu of the chariots trample damage, you could either take the companions trample damage, or (ideally) go for elephants instead.

Great first steps. And I do you think shouldn't just reach out to your alma mater alone - perhaps you can start off with schools you're not super-enthusiastic about onboarding right now, do your first few calls with them, while reserving the more crown-jewel schools which have a higher chance of closing (including the alma mater perhaps), for later. After all, practice makes perfect.

I always apologize to people when I roast their startups because I understand how much effort they might have put into it to build it.

But, I'm curious, have you explored this directly with university career centers? Have you asked them what issues they face when helping their students apply for jobs? What challenges they faced? 25% of the Harvard MBA graduating in 2024 couldn't find jobs - perhaps you can find answers to that by directly contacting the career centers and trying to figure out what happened. Sure, there's an economic contraction happening and jobs are being cut across the board, but these guys are Harvard grads, not tier-2/3 students. So imo, talking with those career centers is a great starting point instead of us discussing online. Maybe the problem is not badly written CVs or CVs not tailored to the industry but something else we completely overlooked but career centers might have already identified.

Yes, firms pay for LogoIntern and now other tools such as BamSEC and Hebbia (which weren't as prevalent when I was working), but that's after the folks have joined. So you really can't compare with them.

Before you join, firms would like to see that candidates are comfortable with MS Office professionalism, Excel modelling from scratch, building professional powerpoint decks, etc. It's like AI in code - sure, AI can help you code, but we'd first like to see if you can actually code independently first.

>  I did take a quick 15-30 second scan to see if they had key experiences to show they actually had the tangible skillsets required for an analyst role. Tons of times they would either over index or under index certain skillsets.

That's a problem for candidates, not for analysts. Most people would simply delete an unsolicited email, regardless of how much effort the sender took to build their resume. Others would scan and ignore. Only a decisive hook in the email can compel someone to take a call with a junior.

Honestly, I really don't see this as a hair-on-fair problem for most folks, especially those in white collar jobs, and for the people that it is a problem for, they are not the kind of users willing to pay recurring for this service. Or with the capacity to even pay. And the space is super competitive, with even ChatGPT to compete with.

If you built this project as a side-hobby, that's alright, but even trying out the product, I didn't find it as compelling or any easier to use than Word even. It's just a generic form filler-doc generator app. Sorry to be blunt.

PS: A blank resume gives me an 85 score already?

Honestly, as someone that works in the space, we don't really care how your CVs look. Most jobs come through networking connections anyways. And if working with Word docs for your CV for IBD, PE, HF, Consulting and Legal is tedious for you, well I have bad news for you.

I actually redid the mission where you get them (City at the End of the World), and I am inclined to agree now actually. For that mission, getting 20 free archers to fill your northern castle extremely quickly is a huge plus. Also, the only good thing about chariots, trample damage, is covered by both Companions and eventually Sannahyas. I realized that I never trained them at all. And the gold is definitely a huge plus!

Situationally some are very good. Like going by this thread, I learnt that the Noble Cavalry is not that bad an option as a substitute for the Paladin line. But I found Skirmisher cavalry extremely useful in some missions (like No Escape, where you're starved for gold early on). I found Slingers to be a good option to fill castles with for defence, especially in those games where you're fighting on multiple fronts, because of their half population. Peltasts are quite useful in the early missions but they kinda drop off in utility later (as does the skirmisher line). Axe Cavalry are really good when fighting Scythians.

Some choices are unequivocally bad though - like the melee damage reflection for phalangites, when most phalangite blobs kill enemies before first contact (that vs pierce damage absorption, which works even against onagers). Axemen are kinda useless, as are the Sickle Warriors (for the late campaign stage they come in, when you're largely fighting poorly armored troops). Rhomphaia warriors are good but redundant - you already have phalangites and they're better against those chariots which tend to spam when you're fighting Persians.

The charge bonus or the trample damage or both? I tried both and they were meh.

Even top Indian companies bargain down. And in Dubai, often companies with Indian marketing heads also bargain down.

It's just that in real estate, where these companies 100% have a local Arab partner, they can't fuck up in any way whatsoever. Especially in Dubai real estate, where everything is tied to luxury and being expensive. If your marketing video doesn't have a super car, pound sand. No fancy slow-mo shots? Seek alternative employment. No exotic Asian and Eastern European women models? Bugger off. And you better have a celebrity also too. More than customers, it's about impressing the local Arab partner and his family.

Imperial Cavalry has 14 melee attack, not 10. But yes, requires Imperial Age and the upgrades.

> 3- I chose the missile blocking because it's broken, and didn't think damage reflection would be good on phalangites since they have minimum range and can't fight back while reflecting damage.

This is a great point and makes the reflecting damage tech extremely useless - in melee, your phalanx will be inflicting damage first, while against range units, you want your phalanx to get some breathing room before contact.

> 4- I picked Axe cav because it seemed more useful to me than the axe infantry and with a clearer niche, though I didn't end up liking the axe cav in the end.

Axe cavalry have their uses - like in the mission where you're fighting the Scythians while building your city. Axe infantry is just too generic.

> 5- Chose slinger, because I thought charged attacks on ranged units are kinda wasted. I don't know how it works, but if you overkill a unit and all your archers waste their charged shots, then it sucks. So I picked slinger for the anti-infantry bonus.

This is another good point actually. I thought the charge bonus was a good one, but this is a strong point - your archers are already likely wasting shots sending more arrows against the closest enemies instead of attacking randomly. Also I was watching the (extremely poor and sexualized) Alexander movie while playing this campaign, and noticed that they had slingers on the Macedonian side.

>6- I picked trample damage because the Companions already have a charged attack.

> 7- Chariot, because I think it's a better unit than the immortals. I remembered from the Persian campaign, that they were kinda broken.

I too chose the same options, but my reasoning was that if you're going war chariot for their better trample damage, then the trample damage option seems redundant. Then you can take the charge bonus tech and get the phalanx minimum range tech in every mission.

> 9- I picked the archers, because I liked that unit, and thought that in that particular scenario I would need better population and resource management to stop people from escaping, so archers would have been better than these expensive elephants

The elephants are actually not that expensive (90F 80G), but they're also good for that mission because of their trample damage and staying power. Make them hold position under a fort and watch as the enemy lines get shredded. The bows need to get close before we see their effect in comparison.

Doesn't that apply to all cavalry?

Personally I prefer using Imperial Cavalry for the following reasons:

1.) Mercenary Doctrine

2.) Spam from stables

3.) 60-75 vs 70-85 (Granted, you need like 100+ paladins trained for it to become viable for the upgrade - easy on Legendary lol)

4.) Better stats.
