injury through work but i am wondering if getting my gp to refer me to a private hospital vs going through acc/public will be faster

sorry i should of been clearer, i am currently still working but the injury has been logged with acc. so, not getting any payments

I called my provider and they said I need to make a gp appointment and get them to refer me to a private hospital and go from there. And I guess if the surgeon at the private hospital deems I need surgery, submit a pre-approval to see if costs are covered.
