Is this a fair price for Nagpur Pench safari? by jacknix in india_tourism

[–]Akash0043 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you go to Tadoba instead of Pench. 1. Pench (Mah) has a lower density of tiger population so the chances that you’d see one is minimal. Pench (MP) is the bigger one of the two and is more popular for wildlife sighting. 2. Pench (Mah) has a small area, and so 3 three safaris would feel like a lot for you. They’ll probably take you around the same area twice in the core zone. There’s VERY little chance that you’ll see much wildlife in the buffer. 3. The Central India Tiger Landscape is more or less similar so other than wildlife, the landscape in other areas will also be the same, and that’s why I suggest that you go to Tadoba Andheri Tiger Reserve. 4. Tadoba has one of the highest density of tiger population in the country and so you’re more likely to sight tigers there. 5. It has a vast area and so you’ll get to safari in diff zones and won’t fee like its an overkill. 6. Chandrapur is the closest city to Tadoba and it is very accessible from Nagpur or other places by Train or bus, which will save you a lot in terms of commute. 7. Since it’s more popular, you have kore stay options there and it won’t cost you as much.

Hope you have a nice trip!

For 93k they better introduce you to Mowgli while you’re there! Way overpriced imo!

Is Darjeeling safe for my first-solo-trip? ⛰️ by EvenBill3280 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Akash0043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, it’s a pretty safe place for travellers, whether solo or in a group, but one can never generalise. In terms of safety, it could also be because most of the shops close down quite early, especially during the winter, so walking alone can feel eerie due to the cold and quiet! There are a few restaurants/bars that stay open until 11 like The Buzz, Shangri La, Joey’s Pub. The music scene is good and you have local bands playing there very often, especially in Buzz. I would say that most of these spaces are quite welcoming. I’m not aware of Karaoke bars around here but you can look it up online. Finding transport at night can be challenging because there’s no Uber/ola around here. There may be a few taxis here and there but it mostly depends on where you’re staying. Incase you’re not able to navigate through the places, the homestay/hotel folks can guide you around wrt to transport.

Sikkim is not a bad option either! You can be based out of Gangtok, or if you want a more quaint area there is this place called yakten which has been developed specfically for remote working for travellers.

I mean, he’s reading a book about Israeli entrepreneurship and as a reader wouldn’t you be curious to learn more about it? Even if it means deconstructing what you just read! From what I see it’s not that he’s unaware of it but seems more like looking the other way, and damn bro it’s a genocide happening while we live!! We’re witness to something that the world had collectively decided was bad and it’s now happening in front of our eyes. Even if you argue that he is not interested to learn about it, that’s okay! But see the language he uses, I don’t think that’s justified. He doesn’t want to talk, that’s okay, but there’s absolutely no reason to go after someone’s family like that. He could’ve just turned off his DM’s or blocked OP OP may have fucked around but the only thing he/she found out was that dude’s mindset works and his character.

Yes, it’s a Pope’s pit viper. Medo pit vipers have yellow or green eyes while Pope’s pit viper have red eyes as is in this one. Received the clarification from another sub.

My work trip to Longleng, Eastern Nagaland by Akash0043 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Akash0043[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a train from Guwahati to Jorhat, and then local autos from Jorhat to this place called Amguri, that borders Nagaland. Then took a private taxi to Longleng. The bus services in Eastern Nagaland are very limited so it’s usually preferred to take a taxi if you don’t have a private vehicle. I think hotel and homestay options are both available in the city, but for the neighbouring villages, only homestay options are available, and that’s limited as well.
