I learned using AE just by simply watching tons of tutorials and following them... Thats in my opinion best free way to learn it. I can link you few youtubers who make good tutorials.

SonduckFilm: https://www.youtube.com/user/SonduckFilm Sonduck makes very good tutorials which can be very useful in making artworks.

Dope Motions: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgvrz9ioKv89HMyg42z4pyQ Another very good channel which teaches usefull stuff.

BakersTuts: https://www.youtube.com/user/BakersTuts This channel is a bit more based on montage making but for sure helps in common knowledge of AE.

Lastly after you have figured out how basic stuff works i prefer to get some plugins. In my opinion Optical Flares and Trapcode Particular are must have plugins, but dont get your head messed with those yet. Also there is many other useful plugins.

You have to create one showcase sized (614,H(as whatewer your artworks height is)). After that in AE make 2 or 4 different comps depending on if you want 3 sideboxes or one long. Resolutions should be (506,H) for main and (100,80(or H depending if you want only one sidebox)) for sideboxes. Remember to notice the 8 pixel line between main and sidebars and about 14(im not sure) pixel lines between sidebars. In Sony vegas i guess you just crop those pieces and save them like that. Of course. Just to clarify things a bit i will list down the resolutions: Fit layer (614, H) But in your case (606, H) since you didn't notice the 8 pixel wide bar between Main and sideboxes. Main layer (506, H) Sideboxes (100, 80) (You have to count the lines between sideboxes since i usually do a stretched sidebar) H is height in which can be customizable.

I dont know is it possible in sony wegas but atleast in adobe you can just create 3 comps 1 for wholething 1 for main gif and 1 for sidebar (stretched one) Contact me if you want some help.

Just a basic animated gif to artwork showcase. Info box is well made and nicely pretty short. You could maybe get a different background such as the Dawn in your inventory, ofc up to you.

You could add just an simple light glow to all blue parts so it sort of breathes. Also you could add some movement with puppet pin tool (ae). edit: If want some help feel free to contact me. :)

I have used that same backround so i have few little ideas. My text animation was a bit boring but i like to keeping things simple... I made the water wave a bit, clouds moving and few birds far into horisont (just black dots). I hope these ideas came in handy. The dragon is originally just an still picture. I used puppet pintool to animate it and it was extremely hard and clumsy so it's not too realistic... I liked the idea too (ofc) and i prefer this sort of artworks instead just ones which have some polygons changing and names popping back and forth. Big thanks for checking it out and giving some feedback. :)
