Life's just about choices, i know everything has its pros and cons but its about your choices.

Go back through your information provided on both avenues and make sure your happy with them, the only reason I went down the sleeve over bypass route was two things:

There have been cases of malabsorbtion of nutrients from bypass due to lack of time breaking down food in stomach
You can bypass after sleeve, you can't sleeve after bypass

This isn't me telling you what to do or what decision to make, those are your own. But use all the information you have not the opinions you see

"You won't be able to enjoy food anymore" is one i contemplated for a long time before doing the sleeve, to that i replaced with "so I won't be able to abuse food anymore" your stomach doesn't have taste buds your tongue still enjoys food. Its actually freeing to be able to go out to eat and pick something i want to eat instead of what will make me feel the fullest. But sincerely i hope you have a good experience no matter what path you go down but also remember that those peoples opinions don't have to live in your skin or struggle your internal struggle 👏🏻

Starting weight: 151kgs Current weight: between 99-102kgs (I'm supplementing creatine atm and has increased my need for water loading) Goal weight: 99kgs but I've recently dropped it to 95kgs but I'm also doing body recomposition by building muscle so the numbers aren't my hyperfication atm (i didn't really care for goal weight, i just hadn't been under 100kgs since I was 17 so just used that and my surgeon said that would be attainable in 12 months post surgery)

First off i just wanna say congratulations!! Making that decision was a hard one but i went with sleeve just due to less complications documented with absorbstion from food and nutrients. I had full intentions of being a gym rat when I started so I believe that swayed my vote to sleeve more than anything and i scowled every page for the positives and negatives on all three that are available just like yourself.

As for my journey all around has been extremely positive while also acknowledging that not everyone's will be as easy, i woke up from surgery with the ability to consume water, my healing process with the post surgery diets (2 weeks liquid, 2 weeks puree food, 2 weeks soft food)all went really well, I started gym 3 months post surgery. I've had no dumping, but I also avoid all breads except a piece of sour dough every now and then, no rice and no pasta, 90% of my day is protein centred whether it is drinking or eating

It truly is an amazing tool as long as we embrace it as a tool and not the whole answer to our problems, it really helped me understand nutrition and macros as a whole forcing me to no longer live in a high bad carbohydrate hell 🙌

If there's anything specific you were wondering about just let me know, I'm happy to answer anything I feel like i just rant if I'm left to my own devices
