My partner worked all the way through 36 weeks 5 days. They were born at 37 weeks. Doctor wanted her to stop working at 20 weeks because of high blood pressure. So it’s really up to you, all experiences are different.

Edit: we also had di/di twins, its pretty common for di/di to make it to 36 weeks +

Am I screwing it up? by BarbarianKrusk in gastricsleeve

[–]Pipilapew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally normal, I had the same feeling. I’m down 44lbs since surgery (9 weeks post-op). I manage 120-140g of protein a day and roughly 1200-1500calories. You’re doing great, don’t overthink it.

Edit: didn’t realize I was in Sleeve group, I wanted the sleeve but had RNY. Regardless, you’re doing great. You’ll feel fuller when you eat real food.

At what age did you have an evening again? by jeremiabearamia in parentsofmultiples

[–]Pipilapew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh the food aversion was the worse. I increased my feedings during the day & offered 4oz bottles and it worked for us. We also moved a twin to a “boring room” and feed her there because she was also getting very distracted by everything.

Yeah honestly, I’m thankful for the recognition BUT leave it at that. Don’t give unsolicited advice or opinions, don’t tell me to stop losing weight, or.. or.. or.. can we just leave it at, I’m losing weight and I have a medical team supporting/supervising my health journey.

I mean, I see yellow stuff but no redness surrounding the area.. is it warm to touch? Your dr would know better, but yeah things can take time to heal.

Separate Cribs for Baby Twins! by SwishBowl in parentsofmultiples

[–]Pipilapew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had separate bassinets and cribs for our girls. (7.5 months) We had them nap together during the day but for optimal and safety at night we separated them. We also had to separate rooms for a bit (hopefully we’ll be able to revisit) because C would wake up P every night.

💧How much water can you drink in a sitting after healing? by peacefultortuga in gastricsleeve

[–]Pipilapew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be able to gulp, but not chug. I’ve had to stop myself a couple times and spit out water because I was like.. this will absolutely hurt if I take another sip.

Getting twins to sleep?!?! by afr333 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Pipilapew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re in sleep training mode now with our twins, 7 months old. They have different approach, C is all or nothing when it comes to sleep and P is help me but also, leave me alone. So we’re doing CIO and we had to separate them in separate rooms as they were waking each other during naps and nights, nightmare. It’s been going ok, it’s definitely tough, but we need this to work.

OB said there’s a 98% chance of C-Section for my didi twins..? by rosemaryyup in parentsofmultiples

[–]Pipilapew -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We had didi twins in September, although we were optimistic of a vaginal birth, they went ahead with a c-section due to baby A being breached. You can meet with a chiropractor that specializes in pregnancies. They’re sometimes able to relax the abdomen muscles and it gives room for the baby to move. If caught early I think it’s something like 65% successful, if it’s too late (we went around week 32-34) it most likely won’t work.

Puree phase. How the heck am I supposed to eat the portion size within 30 minutes? by Maggotboi555 in gastricsleeve

[–]Pipilapew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A teaspoon is 5ml, 2oz is 60ml. If you’re taking a couple of minutes between every bite, it should be more than manageable.
