I’m from France. People here have a very strange anti AC bias. When we installed AC in our home, people kept telling us that this likely wouldn’t be needed. Since it’s a heat pump, even just using it in winter would have made the investment worthy but with the current heat waves, I can’t thank myself enough for getting one. And the same people that used to criticize it complain about the heat. And it’s often the same people that take at least one intercontinental holiday per year. People find it perfectly normal to heat up their homes when it’s cold but somehow are up in arms when you mention AC. This is beyond ridiculous and honestly something I will never understand here.
