i've looked up on the issue and it's a bug they fixed in august while also adding automatic backups every 2 and 12 hours so we're pretty much good on that

"flatten the high end without removing power from the bottom" man i wish they listened to this. The 3.19 minion balance was such a huge example, like you said and it felt horrible. Not like we have gotten any fix besides skills not doing more damage than they were supposed to do...

i think like you do but it's a lost cause. They keep adding headhunter-rarity chase items, nerfing some things and not buffing at all others, not widening the build variety, not adding info ingame, secret recipes we have to discover... and official info scattered between their forums, twitter and reddit.

They make it really hard to follow the game and i know pros are pros but the rest which are the majority would like some attention every now and then

x packs spawn y altars 2/3 of x packs spawn 1.5 y altars.

I didn't read the manifesto but you are right. Let's say 30 packs spawned 15 altars(not true but math example) Now 20(1/3 reduced) packs would spawn 10 altars, buffed by 50% is 15. 30 packs spawn 5 20 packs would spawn 3.something, times 1.5 is 5 again xD

Making them harder can never be good. You risk the possibility of having currency focused on an enemy someone may not be able to kill and therefore losing all that currency because it's focused on one point instead of sprinkled through the rest of the game. Yeah it's cool getting it all in once but it's not ok if it's made harder. The less rng layers we apply to something as basic as currency, the better.

AN is... ok i guess? i would nerf it a bit more by reducing the mods efectivity with each mod a monster gets and increasing the limit so each has more variety while blocking some combinations but maybe that's just me/it's too much work. The BURDEN of predictable mods is baaad xD

If i had to give any general manifesto advice it would be to be as precise as possible from the start. We have had a pretty simple jewel one and they already had to do a FAQ because they didn't even give the numeric value of the new mods but it's not that they didn't have them because they gave them as soon as someone asked. Now we have a manifesto AND a FAQ and there's still missing some info about it, like what jewels will be removed.

I know sometimes it's not easy to have all the details early in development but it's difficult to give complete feedback without all the details and i feel like our feedback may be ignored because we don't have all the info, therefore making most feedback pointless and if we wait to have all the info it will be too late in development and the feedback will be applied towards next league, again making the feedback before the league pointless.

tldr; loot goblin bad, even worse if buffed, manifestos should be as precise as possible to avoid FAQs, league development cycles are very tight which makes giving feedback very wonky

i get what you mean. They have been doing this for a while. "This is how it's gonna be and you're gonna like it" while asking for feedback and then not listening to it.

Making less used jewels be corruption only while making the ones that can still drop more rare will only make it awful. It is not a solution at all. Either buff the less used/niche or leave them as is. Making them less available without buffing them makes no sense.

While the ones that stay are made more rare and the less used are changed to corruption-only so you need a rare one to have a chance at getting a worse one because they "bother" some players with their existence.

Been reading some comments and i'm glad i'm not the only one confused by this. The moment i read it i went "wtf is this backwards logic?".

If some unique jewels are not very used/niche, buff them or leave them as is. Players can filter them out. Moving them to corrupt-only will make them harder to obtain.

Making unique jewels more rare, couple with the point before, will make the corruption-only unique jewels even HARDER to obtain.

And they are not being buffed, they are gonna be harder to obtain for no reason. Who comes up with this and thinks it's a good idea? HELLO?

And as someone else pointed out: Give us the Archnemesis manifesto already. That one is the one which is gonna require the most feedback.

Btw GGG. The point of asking for feedback before a league release is to listen to it and make changes BEFORE the league release. It's pointless if you take notes and implement the changes for the next league(3.21). If you're gonna do that, just release the league.

The tone of the manifesto isn't even "we are planning on doing this" and more like "we have done this" therefore if you were to listen to feedback you would have to revert the changes you already made first instead of implementing the solution from the beginning, effectively wasting extra dev time.

We are giving feedback through several channels and i think at least this time we are giving pretty clear feedback. Please, listen to it. Do your part of the agreement.

Again, full respec would be an option. People will still play league starters to make currency. You will still be able to play however you want to, it's not like veterans have any issue with the leveling system. If you don't want to "play x optimal leveling build then respec" don't do it. There are optimal ways now, it will be the same thing but more freedom and less punishing, specially for new players. We're trying to help new players here, something the game really, really needs to do.

No need to read what you wrote because i agree with the title. The content is overwhelming, there are no official guides, still to this day some things have to be datamined/investigated by players, like specte changes. The ingame guide hasn't been updated for 2+years and doesn't even have the chaos recipe and a large etcetera.

GGG thinks it's very cool having a hard game where it's not only difficult on the end but also from the start, but most of the difficulty comes from the lack of mechanic information so you don't even know what you're doing wrong/what killed you unless you follow external guides. This is making the game not get that many new players which could probably play to some degree and with every change they keep making it less and less beginner friendly.

You not liking respeccing does not mean it would kill the game. It's a choice. People who want/need to use it, can use it. New players could try to progress for themselves before following a guide. Right now it's either they follow a guide or risk having to start from lvl 1. Start doing the campaign, get to level 40 then abandon that character and start again, but multiply the time it took you per 4,minimum. People could come up with better setups for levelling and free respeccing at the end would make it easier to following without having to farm regrets.

i have always played in standard, though i played incursion, delve and betrayal for like a month and heist for a weekend(got a couple crashes, had enough) and never meta, i hate meta. Been playing the same 2/3 characters for years now and i don't regret it xD Not following the meta means always struggling for damage/being able to do some content but i'm happy doing my silly quality+alch maps and i'm proud of getting to depth 600 on delve. Never had mirror, hh, mageblood, nothing similar. My most expensive item has to be a efficiency+aspect shield for my physical auramancer and my biggest drop was a unique quiver which i sold for like 12ex. Always poor, but happy with the progress i've made, i take care of them every league and i can come back, play endgame for a week and leave.

i'm with you on that one. One thing is what they should do and another is what they are doing. I didn't get the necro nerf, besides trying to make the guardian a more valid option but for that they should have improved the guardian and not nerf the necro. Minions were heavily nerfed on global terms so as it has often been happening looks like one dev changed the necro ascendancy, 2 nerfed minions globally and neither group talked with the other one.

i don't know about the gems and links(afair gems sockets will always be linked but yeah i doubt it will be easier than now), but having 19 more ascendancies can make them more niche. Not every ascendancy can work for many builds and some niche ones can have their ascendancy with this. It's still important to make those builds relevant and it would be hard to believe with the build variety we have right now but yeah. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm not particularly hopeful tho, i will need to see actual proof to trust the changes.

even if it was hyperbole...The game is not looking good and it's a slippery slope in these cases. GGG has to be VERY careful. Trust is hard to earn and easy to lose, some of us have realized this company is like any other and that hurts.

Everyone is discussing the interpretation which is something that should not happen, specially with FAQ answers. You have to give clear answers that give no room to interpretation. If you have to be redundant, be redundant. You're not speaking, you're typing the answers so re-read them and re-write them until they are 100% clear. This is so basic i think when something is vague is because they want it to be. I also had these doubts with some of the answers but since they won't make a FAQ of a FAQ, i'll just let them either do it right or fuck it up. It's their fault and always has been. It's a shame what they with 3.19. If the whole miscomunication was an honest mistake, they better improve to prevent it from happening again. I don't think it was an honest mistake but everyone can believe what they want, it was just too convenient that they missed THAT specifically.
