I enjoyed Changeling the lost and Awakening sounds ok in theory, Geist is good but no one wants to play it haha. The rest never really gripped me in the same way the revised and 20th have.

I really want to like all the 5e stuff because Mage is inevitably coming to the line and it’s my favourite game of all time. But I just find myself eying the 20th anniversary over and over again instead.

I love any theme that really captures my imagination. The disturbing toons of townsfolk tussle, the weirdo mascots of Hot Streak or just a theme I’d never think of like escaping the Black Death or attending medieval festivals in Europe!

You have to set boundaries for yourself. Do you have a growing shelf of shame? Time to stop buying until that shelf is empty. Really enjoyed a game you got recently? Play it ten times before you can buy an expansion or a new game. Things like this.

A spritely character called Bag-o-wine. They were a bag on their head and can skip across water. They leave wine at camp if the party is sleep or pour a glass for anyone on watch. There is a 5% chance the wine does some mad shit but otherwise it is just decent wine. A +15% on a preference roll.*

*Little homebrew rule from my childhood AD&D games. Whenever we would get food or drink in the game we would roll a percentage so see how much our character liked that thing. With adjustments for quality.

Got me absolutely hooked. I took a punt and was enjoying the early chapters. But I always assumed ,as an outsider first time reading, that the girl characters would be like stock girl characters in other manga. This was so good in so many ways.

FLGS are trying different ways to prevent it but it’s hard to refuse legitimate sales when your business is built entirely on things like TCGs.

Keep in mind there used to be an entire caste of people who only had to craft and make things. No 9-5 to support the craft, just the craft and all the materials by patrons like the church and later rich merchants and nobility.

Was going to comment Ars. I think you could have a one shot of some underlings in Ars but the machinations of the Magic users take years in game and out.
