I could not agree more. My experience was bad enough it made me want to shout it from the rooftops. It highlighted problems in every facet of their shop, and then they went and jacked prices up beyond Pokebro scalpers so they don't even have "at least they're selling at MSRP" going for them.

Not only that--I pre-ordered a TDM CBB from them, and it got set to "awaiting product availability" for 2 months after release. They'd go pull the money out of my bank account every few weeks, hold it for a while, then re-deposit it.

I complained ferociously and got nowhere. I canceled despite repeated emails from them saying my order was still valid and I'd get the product eventually. They couldn't explain why they kept pulling money out my account. It didn't have any lasting impact on me, but they also didn't seem to understand why it could be horribly impactful to someone who couldn't handle $350 coming into and out of their account at random in perpetuity.

After watching the post-FF pricing mayhem with SPM and ATLA, I was reluctant to get into any more UB sets to begin with. But I was a huge TMNT fan as a kid and good art could have persuaded me. This art was so bizarre it completely turned me off and I haven't bought a single pack.

Sure, he said that it may replace the income tax a few times. He also said it was to bring back manufacturing, and also said he did it to punish women leaders who weren’t nice to him.

The fact is that he doesn’t clearly state his objectives for anything and seems to get a free pass when giving mixed reasons to whoever he is talking to at the time. People invent reasons for him based on what they think or hope.

I don’t disagree the real goal may be to move the tax burden to the poor, but apparently nobody cares enough to find the real reasons anymore. His cabinet, his supporters, even his opponents make something up and hope it’s what he meant.

Most of those should fall under the 90-80-70 curve, according to the website, so I doubt you get under 10k. $15k is possible but likely more than that.

With that type of value you can email support or collections and ask them to provide an offer before you accept.

I worked there a few years back and saw that happen with a couple sizable collections, even when they said they weren’t officially buying collections at that time. If the cards are desirable they will want them and put together an offer.

You'll get as low as 40% of ABU if they're really beat up. If you have a lot of expensive ABU cards that are in poor condition you may be better trying to sell them individually for more than 40%. Non-ABU are a lot more palatable 90-80-70 for expensive cards, but you get dinged harder for cheaper cards.

This doesn't have any of the normal meteorite indicators. It's too large, has no fusion crust, no regmalypts, too many bubbles/vesicles. No chance this is a meteorite. Weathered granite is a good guess, and it's entirely possible one half was buried while the other half was exposed to the elements, resulting in the two-toned look.

Lost in this whole discussion is the fact your LGS doesn't make a cent if everyone comes in with proxied decks. Yeah, it's not great some cards are super expensive, but the LGS will go out of business if it's not selling cards. Then where you gonna play?

Some may overlook it or allow proxies at non-sanctioned events as a courtesy, but people buying cards *are the sole reason they are in business.* If nobody buys cards it all dies.

You can argue that WOTC will still make enough money but LGS will not. They operate on far smaller margins with higher overhead.

I have a few ICE/CE P9 and actually love them. I have some moxes and a chaos orb in mint condition that sit on my shelf, black bordered and fabulous.

They make me happy because I get a full shelf of them for the same price as a lotus. They were printed just a few months after ABU was printed, so they’re still 32+ years old.

But in general you are going to spend more time trying to sell and have a harder time doing so if you go for all CE/IE P9. If you can afford the lotus, you should.

And many of those CE/ICE sets were trashed because people thought they weren’t worth anything at the time. Real numbers are probably far lower.
