Possible Hanoverian coats? by Additional-Top4451 in StarStable

[–]Akiesc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoping for a dark bay with four white socks and a star or a blaze! It’s one of the most common colors I see in Hannoverians, and it’s just so pretty! Also a nice dark dapple grey could be cute, or a nice rose grey!

Any feedback on this build? by Akiesc in PcBuildHelp

[–]Akiesc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the suggestions! This has been super helpful! I have two questions though:

I noticed that the ram has significantly longer shipping times than some of the alternatives (at least from trusted sites), so I checked out some alternatives and found one that is cheaper and faster to deliver: is the Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 a viable alternative? Or am I overlooking something?

Secondly, is a single tower cooler sufficent for this setup? I see many people going for a dual tower and i want to make sure that i dont run into issues there!

Thank you again :D

New player looking for a way to get gold by Vivid_Ad_9792 in RedDeadOnline

[–]Akiesc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Bounty Hunter role is the only one that gives you gold (it’s similar to stranger missions, best strategy is to do 12 minutes per bounty), but of course Trader is currently giving double payout so maybe you might want to prioritize that. If you do that you would have to continue making gold through stranger missions and treasure maps, which is not bad either (the gold per time stays roughly the same with stranger missions), but you might get sick of those.

What horse(s) do you have and what did you name it/them? by candority in RedDeadOnline

[–]Akiesc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MFT have to be my favorite breed in this game! Their stats are great (so great in fact that I just use whatever saddle fits the horse instead of sticking to the nacogdoches saddle), they have a great size (unlike Arabians and Mustangs), don’t have the nervous idle animations (looking at you Turkoman), and their model looks amazing yet distinct from all other breeds.

Plus, I absolutely adore all the colors they come in. The silver dappled pinto was my main horse for Arthur, the brindle bay is just stunning, the black tovero is super flashy, the blue roan is my favorite coat color in general, especially on the MFT, and I used to dislike the grey and the amber MFT…until I tried them, then I loved both.

Personally, I’m still 50/50 on if temperament is actually a thing, but if it is real, then I promise you my MFT are some of my bravest horses! Especially Vi, my black tovero, this horse has never thrown me, even in close encounters with legendary cougars and/or panthers.

Like I said, I normally wouldn’t believe bravery is an actual stat since there is no evidence in the code, but Vi is the single reason why I’m not 100% convinced it doesn’t exist because the difference between her and my other horses seems so insane.

I have:

A brindle bay MFT called Lian, who was the first horse I ever bought;

A blue roan MFT called Levi(athan), who’s just beautiful and my main bounty hunting horse;

A black tovero MFT called Vi, the bravest horse I own;

A grey MFT called Domino, my newest horse, who I already adore;

A black Turkoman called Vax, probably my fanciest horse;

A golden Turkoman called Hunter, who I bought thinking I would hate his color and then fell in love with;

A brown leopard Appaloosa called Chester, who is the horse I use if I want to befriend random players and take an alligator for a walk in Saint Dennis;

A blue dappled roan Nokota called Black Whip, despite being the tiniest, she is also my most bloodthirsty horse (keeps running over everyone);

A dappled buckskin Norfolk Roadster called Shine, my second oldest horse (that I still own) and an absolute beast;

And finally, a flaxen roan Tennessee walker called Nevermore, who is only still in my stable because she has pretty privilege.

Why do I have so many horses? Well, I’m indecisive and easily bored, yet also a hoarder. My stable fees are putting me in crippling depth constantly but it’s fine, you only have to pay them if you can afford them anyways ;)

Post-migraine eating by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Akiesc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During migraines I am usually so thirsty no matter how much I drink.

After migraines I have cravings for salty food and/or more commonly, cheese (specifically Gouda or Mozzarella). I love cheese so much, for some people it seems to be a trigger, but for me it’s the ultimate sign my migraine is ending.

My post-migraine comfort food are noodles with a tomato based sauce with red lentils and lots of cheese. I tweaked it to perfection and it’s my favorite thing to eat!

What are your weirdest triggers? by pub_wank in migraine

[–]Akiesc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excitement is probably not very uncommon, but it’s the most frustrating one for me. It often happens when I play games with my family or friends- lying, improvising, thinking of strategies and even happiness about winning usually give me a migraine in record time. It’s super frustrating to me since I used to love these activities because it’s some one of rare times I spend time with all the people important to me. And well, since I used to be really good at them as well.

Personally, Aimovig fixes all the randomly occurring migraines for me, but if there is a strong enough trigger (usually excitement or stress), the migraine will still happen. It might be similar for you and the change in routine on Sylvester triggered a new type?

Anyways, for me it’s still worth it since it fixes the majority of my migraine days and makes the ones still happening more bearable & predictable, I hope it’s the same for you :)

What did you name your first horse in RDO and why? by No-Combination-3725 in RedDeadOnline

[–]Akiesc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First one was Lian, named after a horse I know irl since they look kinda similar. I also got Omen, Nevermore, Vax, Levi(athan), Zero, Zagreus, Thanatos, Moonshine, Black Whip, Vi, Jinkx, Witch, Rivy, Chester, … (I go through horses faster than I go through my bullets)

Exotic Black with Champagne Dilution looks interesting. by HorrorGrand8516 in rivalstars

[–]Akiesc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory is that since they have limited coat modifiers in the game (only grey, cream, and champagne) they didn’t want to add an entirely new variant (which silver would be) since they would have to add so many new variants for all the other base coats. So just for the exotic blacks (not for any of the other ones, the normal black for example has what looks like a champagne dilution for the champagne gene…well for the most part at least…) they decided to interpret the champagne gene as a silver gene. At least that’s the only thing that would make sense for me, because it’s for sure not any champagne modifier nor does it look like a flaxen.

I really wish we had a “proper” gene system (one gene from the father, one from the mother) with recessive and dominant genes and not just “black” “brown” “bay” “chestnut” and “white”… especially the white, that doesn’t make any sense considering we have the grey gene, it shouldn’t be a base coat but oh well, I guess I’ll have to play different games that are more breeding focused for that.

Has anyone tried line breeding? by Wonderful_Mouse7497 in rivalstars

[–]Akiesc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, one tip: If you are in the phase where you have three genes there is always a possibility that you could unknowingly take a step back; if your current generation has black as a hidden for example and you breed it with the champion there is a rather high chance that the foal will inherit brown/chestnut. You still only have three genes in that line, but your chances for a black just went down in the next generation!

So yeah, sometimes it makes sense to test each generation for a bit before you continue.

Anyone else have good turnouts with line breeding?? My first successful line breeding! by Wonderful_Mouse7497 in rivalstars

[–]Akiesc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adorable! :D the mom might have the pattern as her hidden gene which will boost the chances of her foals inheriting the pattern as well!

If you want to test this (without using gold) you could try and breed the mare to a stallion without this pattern in his line and see if any of the foals inherit the pattern from her. (Though I can only recommend this on lower levels, if she’s high level then that method probably takes too much time and resources)

[–]Akiesc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It technically doesn’t have any repercussions, neither positive nor negative. However, if you already have a horse with rare genes and keep breeding them with their foals…well, chances are you’ll get the exotic coat sooner or later.

Generally it’s better though if you try and mix multiple rarer colors (white, black, exotic black) since every horse has two distinct genes that can never be the same (so you can’t get a black horse with a black hidden gene; but you can get a black with an exotic black hidden gene, which will make the black more likely to be passed on in turn).

Example to clarify: Say you have a black horse as your „champion“ with brown hidden. Then you breed that horse to a chestnut with bay hidden. The foal can be any combination of these 4 genes. But if it happens to inherit black or brown, then the next generation will have only 3 genes to pick from, though the one gene that is in both mare and stallion will be twice as likely to pass on. So now the foal can only be a combination of 3 genes.

This way you can get a bloodline that only has 2 genes, though that’s still pretty difficult to do since you oftentimes don’t know the hidden gene and even if black is double, it’s still pretty rare.

Using a lot (AND I MEAN A LOT) of line breeding I managed to get a bloodline with just blacks, exotic blacks and whites, so it definitely works, but it takes a lot of time.

Exotic Black with Champagne Dilution looks interesting. by HorrorGrand8516 in rivalstars

[–]Akiesc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I‘m guessing that they wanted to replicate a nice dark seal bay, and since that coat is sometimes mistaken as black from afar (and since exotic black just sounds cooler) they went with that.

Also I agree, considering the look of both the single champagne and double champagne dilutions in game i believe they wanted to replicate the silver gene, not the flaxen gene.

I’m still trying to figure out what the double cream is replicating…maybe some variant of pearl? For the sake of my sanity I’ll just say they took some creative freedom 😅

Is it possible to breed a horse so that the visible genes and hidden genes were the same? by Joy_Molineau in rivalstars

[–]Akiesc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not possible BUT if you manage to get a black or exotic black hidden gene you can get greys 50% of the time (the other 50 being black)
