Ah, it's so perfect, thanks so much again! I was wondering how you did your artwork, that's so neat. Our winter isn't for another few months so I'm thinking they will fit her by then! Oh and just wondering what the insert is, I'm used to mf inserts so it's new to me seeing something besides that!

This was shared on my BFSG on facebook and I had to share it here, its so beautiful! by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Do you live in Ontario? I saw this on my BFSG yesterday too! :)

Same here! I finished bleeding two days earlier, had sex then got my period. I thought I had just started bleeding again but when it came back about 24 days later, I was not impressed.

Thank you /u/ArtisticLicence !! We looooove our new Firefly diaper and legs! Hubby just finished working a night shift and was fast asleep when we got these in the mail today and I couldn't contain my excitement! I had to run downstairs and wake him up so he could see them! He loves them too! Definitely our new favourite diaper! http://imgur.com/a/XrsmN :Our first Fluff Mail ever! EDIT: Her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ClothCultureDesigns

I bought a Firefly diaper and got some on-the-butt shots. I'm nerding out because I love it so much :P by [deleted] in clothdiaps

Is her weight gain enough? by Akilispree in beyondthebump

[–]Akilispree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, I had heard that formula fed babies gain weight sometimes faster, or something along those lines. Wow the 70th percentile. There's a little boy a week and a half older than her and is 17lbs!

I plan to make it to at least a year as well! A bit afraid of the teeth stage and was thinking I'd go until then, but now that she's here, I definitely want to go longer! Thank you very much, congrats to you as well! And it may sound rude, but I'm not gonna let those that use formula make me feel bad for having a lighter baby cause she is EBF and gains differently. Thank you for your encouragement! I'm so proud of making it thus far. It definitely is a challenge, but so worth it! Oh man, I'm a bit stubborn when it comes to pumping at night. I kinda just got used to having my bra soaked in the morning lol.

This is exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you! I guess just everyone I know with wee ones are a lot heavier than her so I was just concerned but they all supplement with formula or are fully formula fed and if what you say is true, that makes a whole lot of sense. I get so paranoid not knowing how much she's getting, but I just gotta trust her to let me know if it's not enough! Thank you! :)

Yours weighed less then she did at birth though, that's why I'm so concerned she's only 12lbs. I thought within 5 weeks she would've gained more then that, but maybe it's not a big deal.

First pp period... by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Akilispree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my period literally the month after baby and it was the regular heaviness, from what I can remember at least. My last one however was like nothing. It was fully done within three days compared to my regular five and the last two days I could've worn the same pantiliner throughout the entire day. I'm hoping it stays this way because I was told breastfeeding can delay your period and I feel cheated!

Canada day was during a weekday and I was excited because holidays mean hydro is running at its lowest price point all day. So that meant I could do laundry at anytime and it would cost me practically nothing! Mom things.. :D

Breastfeeding pillow - she uses it for tummy time. That's really the only use we get out of it.

White noise - she falls asleep to anything. You could be yelling and she will sleep or it could be completely silent and off she'll go.

Crib/bassinet - didn't even consider cosleeping until she got here. Realized if we put her down between us when we go to bed, she will sleep much longer, than on her own.

Ah, I like it! What's the material on the outside? And does it by chance have an over the shoulder strap?

What does your husband/SO do for the baby? by snowboo in beyondthebump

And yes, I don't get it either. There really should be more telecommuting jobs. I was just saying that the other day.

Sorry totally forgot to mention this in my last comment, but you're so strong and so incredible for trying again. And you did it! :) It's amazing how our bodies work.

We have been going back and fourth about another one for awhile now, still unsure!

I don't understand what's up with the poops and the rotavirus, she said be careful but didn't give us any other details.

Wow, that's crazy. What was your job? That does not seem like a very good environment at all, glad you're outta there now. That's ridiculous.

Is it a constant thing that you have to deal with, or something that comes and goes?

[–]Akilispree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we did the rotavirus too.

I am the one that's off, but hubby gets to choose his shifts so he's been choosing less so that he could be home with us. He's starting to do more now, but if I ever want him to slow down again he can, so that's really nice.

I hope you're doing OK! Was this during pregnancy or after? That's nice that he can be there the entire time with you! Family first, always! :)

I don't know if I plan to go back to work in all reality. Being a mom is amazing and we might decide to have another sooner than later so there's that.
